I changed my battery and alternator out after my system fried both. i went with an optima (yellow top) battery and an alternator from 4alterstart.com. It cost me aroud 265 shipped for the alternator. All in all it was worth it, my lights never dim at night and I run a lot off my car. I would, however, recommend redoing your grounds if you want to run such a powerful alternator. By the way, I have a 165 amp in mine. good luck...

another thing you could do it buy a lighting cap for your system that way it doesn't draw as much power. then you won't have to worry about upgrading anything. that's what I did to make my lights stop dimmin on me

keep hatin ur jus makin me FAMOUS!!

well thanks for the ideas guys. i've tried other stuff already and thought if there was anything else but i guess buying new things is the last thing i would do which it is.... batter cap i have it doesn't do anything. its a tsunami cap 2 farads... 2 12" kicker subs- 1 pioneer 800 watt amp for the subs. 1-4 channel 1000 watt audio planet amp for four speakers which are a pair of 6.5" and 6x9" pioneer. my tail lights dim and also my fog lights but my HID's are ok. At night you can really tell...but eh i guess the lil swap should do it. thanks again guys!

oh yeah hey 01BLACKCIVIC...i was thinking about optima batteries but heard some bad news that at times they die after only a year and thats much worse that factory batteries... so i might go for the stinger batter made for hondas... but why yellow top? how about red top?
