Did you or anyone else touch any internal components between the time frame of taking it out of one vehile and putting it into a different vehicle?
Are you positive you are using the correct computer? Did you touch any wires at all??
Has the car just been sitting for a while before you decided to swap it out?
If you have access to one, put a pressure tester on your radiator and look for any coolant leaks. A shit load of white smoke usually indicates a bad head gasket.
