HFP suspension kit vs. other options« » Reply  Edit

Yes, i SEARCHed, but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for.

What i am looking for is reduced roll without a drop. I understand the HFP kit provides both but I'd like to spend as little $$$ as possible. Is the HFP kit so good that it is still worth getting even if i decided not to drop it at all? Would it even allow me to keep stock height in the first place?

I've gotten mixed reviews about multiple types of brackets, braces, strut towers, etc. Are any of these options solid, more affordable alternatives? Even though they come with great stock suspension, where do our Si's need help the most in regards to body roll, up front, at the ass, or all around? And what mod(s) can take us to the promised land.

Any and all opinions are more than welcome. Hope i didn't f- up any terms or desceiptions, easy with the flames folks. I'm still learning. Have at it!!!

I love ScionTc! ROFL

Keep in mind I have no experience with these specific parts on our cars yet, but the HFP suspension will lower you car an inch or so from other peoples comments websites and pictures. Handling will be improved and with the stiffer spring rates and I guess shorter travel of the shocks you will have less body roll.

IMO I would think the H brace would be most sufficient to reduce chassi flex. But a lower tie bar and upper brace w/ tower brace may stiffen things up all around.

IMO cheapest and most efficient upgrade for handling would be the HFP suspension.

I have the HFP suspension and couldn't be happier with it. The drop is very minimal. Idealy, I'd like a lower drop for aesthetic reasons, but I can't handle a lower drop right now because of the places I drive to.

The ride is quite stiff. It can be jarring at times, but overall I like it. The roll is dramatically reduced. The handling is nice and sharp, very responsive. I'd get it while it's still on sale (you can get them very cheap on ebay, like $520 shipped from DCH Honda (I think that's what they're called)).
