Default T6 Divided Collector

Received my 6-2 T6 collector the other day. It turned out ok. I'm going to need to massage it a bit before welding up the manifold. I just wanted to show you guys what it looks like. SLS did the collector and flange for me.

Regards,
Justin

Looks nice. Can I ask how much they charge for that? And I assume the T6 flange is Mild steel?

as far as collectors go, i don't think you will find them cheaper.

Yeah, i'd put an angle @ the base so it makes getting in there and welding easier. Left them flat on the bottom so you could fit them up as you wanted.

i wouldn't put anything less then 10 degrees between the two merges. its a bitch to get in there.

looks good though. i just got a t6 divided flange in today. i'll be making the collector for it in the next couple days.

what turbo is that?

Its a Borg Warner S480 W/ the Race compressor cover. Its from Dave @ Majestic. Best Deals around on these BW turbos I've found. I bought this one from a friend of mine who bought it from Dave, but decided to go bigger. I payed $925 for the turbo new in box.

Weld as far as you can then finish whats missed on the inside, makes life much easier.

Yeah, the T6 divided flange is big enough I'm just planning on welding it up on the inside completely. I really need to work on mocking up the turbo and engine soon.

Justin

Yeah,

I'm doing a 2JZGE w/ AEM and a cam gear trigger for engine position like Tony1 sells for honda's.

check this out

http://www.supraforums.com/for...89826

i'm panning on running a tec3r on batch. i don't really give a crap about sequential. not to mention i'm running 450cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries.

i was looking into possibly doing a cam trigger too, but after looking at it, there really isn't a good place to build a bracket off of.

i also heard you can run a cam trigger off of a 7m that will bolt into the dizzy hole without the huge aparatus.

i'm asuming your running a tt oil pump and crank trigger?

2jz-ge is cheap as shit. stock bottom will hold over 800 with a 2mm headgasket and studs. only problem is that stupid dizzy.

I personally like the distributor.

I just tuned a car today at 28lbs on pump + meth. Picked up a tiny bit of knock... easily fixed by a slight cock of the distributor.

No blowout with 6097's at .028. ;-)

The 12+1 cam trigger is all I need to run for sequential AFAIK. I will be running 12 of the equally spaced magnets all in same orientation. Then there is 1 magnet placed between two of the 12 that has an opposite orientation. You use a dual poll hall effect sensor and this gives you both crank position and sinc signal.

Currently I'm not planning on running the TT crank trigger or oil pump.

Regards,
Justin

This is how DaveH mounted his dual poll hall sensor on his 2JZGE racecar.

I'm using the AEM 30-1050 honda box. It has the most I/O and doesn't have the funky drivers like the TT box.

Guys If you're planning on running an AEM box on the supra. Use the VVT-i ignition coils and wires for the 3-channel waste spark system. The TT 6-channel coils are great if your ignition system is 6-channel sequential. Which I think the Motec is the only one capable of doing so for you.

I'm going to run the TT coils with AEM and a M&W Pro14 box. I plan on running wastespark with this setup. The CDI igntion should be plenty powerful for my needs.
