what's the point? Jun cam's profiles are really outdated (about 8+ years old). I highly recommend all the new Skunk Pro Series cams for any B-Series all-motor build.

Good point. BTW, why anyone even bother to modify a caR that has an eleven years old technology anyway

Prob just to say "I have JUN cams", kinda like "Spoon engine" saying from F&F part 1

But you gotta admit, JUN III's at one time or another were worhty of worship...

To the OP, like GUILOTINE said, JUN cams will make power but their profiles are outdated. I've seen numerous dyno graphs with Skunk2 Pro Series cams that make great power. They're also a good bang for your buck

But it's been proven that the new Pro-Series cams beat Jun's on the dyno. And they cost almost half the price.

Hi,

I got mine at Titan Motorsports, but that was 5 years ago.

Just a JUN II intake cam advanced 5 degrees.

And at the same time Rocket Motorsports M24X (which is close to the current M22X) made more power.

guess who sells RM cams

this is all subjective anyway and you guys should know better. The engine is a system and the parts work together, what will make more power in one motor will make less in another. I don't buy into marketting bullshit and just buy what I feel will be best for my setup.

which is why a guy with a FULLY built motor, including 12:1 wiseco pistons and Jun IV's made less power than my motor with a stock bottom end, on the same dyno on the same day

edit* and I have Jun III's

Maybe so but from my experience the couple of sets of Jun III cams I've seen have been years old with plenty of miles on them (and been through a few different hands) and they still look like new whereas some skunk cams I've seen with a lot less miles and years on them have aged considerably with pitting etc (tuner not pro cams though). So if you're not shooting for dyno queen status and have the cash then Jun cams are a proven durable cam.

That goes to say that Japanese quality is more desireable. That's why I have June lll

There is a lot to take into consideration for cam durability. It all starts when they are first installed. Screw it up and it doesn't matter where they come from.

P.S. JUN cams are not made in Japan.

Weird, since they are manufactured at the same place with the same billet cores as Skunk. Sounds like someone didn't install them right.

In commercial world, the same manufacture will supply similar parts to different customers base on the customers' specification. Therefore, two parts may look and funtion the same, but are totally different in quality.
I used to worked for a hearing aid company that supply the same type of hearing aid to vendor companies all over the world. No one complain about the quality except the vendor company in Japan. We have to redesigned a few circuitries and beef up the insulation to meet their quality expectation. Hope you get the idea.
