d15b 3sVTEC into EG, how to make this work?« » Reply  Edit

Hey there, I have a 95 DX hatch and I want to put in the JDM D15B with the 3 stage VTEC (OBD2 VTi head). Problem is, what will I need to use for a harness or ECU to get VTEC and VTEC-e to work? I am a student, so the VTEC-e lean burn is very crucial to me that it works (because I drive A LOT!), but i would like the normal VTEC to function as well. Do I need a JDM ECU, or can I run it on a VX (OBD1) harness/ecu, or can I run it on a HX(OBD2) harness/ecu? Thanks again, and I look forward to any help you guys can provide!

hmmm, anyone actually successfully run this on here? I hate the big oil companies, so I really want to see this through to fruition! And odd that someone else from the 831 answered my q...

I know that SOMEONE on here has to be running a 3 stage VTEC motor...! I can find motors all day long, but I can't find a dang JDM ECU! WTF? I was thinking (and I read someone else who ran one on AEM EMS), why couldn't I just run it on VX, or HX VTEC-E engine management and then add a RPM activated switch for the Wild Cam? I really want to make this a reality, so any help would be rad. I promise to do a big write up, with pics, and tons of data!
