With gas prices up and the weather good, the only time I drive is to work or to take the train. Gotta be careful where you park at the store. I only park in the back or up front by the entrance.

^That's what I'm talkin 'bout. Did you carry all that on your bikes? I'm trying to find a good pic of my bike in "touring mode," I have my luggage rack, a tarp, a tent, my backpack, a hatchet, soft side cases, and some other stuff.

Be glad you got the Gen II FJR...my 2004 is slow-roasting me again. and its only gotten into the 80s here twice this year. i'm ripping the fairing off...again... considering removing the catalytic convertors with an aftermarket header...which will alleviate a little bit of the heat....but the raditator blowing on the frame/tank/rider is the real problem and i dont know how to fix it. if i could get ahold of a curved radiator like you have maybe I could modify the airflow path myself.... i can see in the pics the fairing openings are much much larger, allowing most of the heat to go around the bike instead of through it. hmmm...
