2009 TSX Review

The back, because the front looks gross.

Dont go crazy this time like the other TSX thread guys!

Quote »
Power is actually down slightly, from 205 hp to 201 hp, although torque is up a bit, from 164 lb-ft to 172 lb-ft (with the manual transmission).

Quote »
The wheelbase, at 106.4 inches, is 1.3 inches longer; overall length is up by 2.4 inches; and the vehicle is a substantial 3.0 inches wider, with wider front and rear tracks. Curb weight has increased by about 160 pounds, although Acura saved about 40 pounds by using more high-strength steel in the car's body. Don't entirely blame Acura for these increases; blame the Europeans

Same here, the new look grew on my very quickly. I really like aggressive lines. Gets a for appearances but for Acura retaining the fourbanger

yeah the domestic diesel market is going to get skull[freak]ed by the new commuter diesel's coming out--but even at $6/gal and 45 mpg, you're still saving money over gas @ 4.25gal (premium) and 24 mpg. i just gotta make sure i don't pay a $3000 premium for the diesel motor.

also, premium is gonna hit more 4.25!

go beers!

there's way too much speculation money in oil...it's not REALLY worth 120/barrel. more like 70-80. but since real estate is getting shitted all over, the money's gotta go somewhere and start a new bubble. voila, oil. it's getting to be about that time, oil's due for at least a 33 or 40% retrace...

though, that isn't what will screw the diesel market...US refiners don't really produce that much in the first place, and won't retool the refineries to make more diesel because it costs money. if they do, it'll take 10 years before they can start.

basically, diesel needs to stay fringe or we need a way to make more diesel fuel.

go beers!

$3K extra is not worth it. I'd stick to gas.

It did take a slight dip in January, but its back on track. $120/barrel helps.

Oh I agree with what you are saying (and its what they were implying as well) - its just that those funds have performed so well in recent memory, that its hard to back away from them.
