n/a boost?? wtf. pick one, cant have both.
you can only reflash the ecu with existing mods such as i/h/e.
i suggest starting with an intake, then get the header/exhaust, then get the reflash.

N/a boost?

You mean just n/a or just boost?

N/A=I/H/E/Reflash

Boost = Turbo

So which one is it? Better pick now because if you plan on boosting you wont need most of the bolt ons.

lolz...for N/A's are CAI, Race header, Exhaust, Hondata Reflash and Hondata manifold Gasket...this is what i have on my 06 Si...those combo gave me pretty good numbers when it was dynoed.

I/H/E are bolt-ons.

How about flywheel, clutch, valve-springs, port & polish, throttle body, cams.

Reflash is nothing more than a retune, shouldn't dish out cash to retune until you are pretty sure you're done with adding stuff that will make the engine behave differently.

No, you can get the reflash after the intake and just keep adding bolt ons without ever needing to reflash your ecu again

Nvm, I was thinking of K-Pro. Isn't reflash referring to giving it another permanent/generic ECU map? One that supposedly gives 30 more hp in mid-range by engaging lift sooner since it was detuned from the factory to meet ULEV. I know if you send out your ECU to club RSX they don't tune it exactly to your vehicle so what are the advantages of putting it on a stock vs car with bolt ons. Isn't it the same reflash for all of them?

no. you need to have the minimum of an intake or header to run the hondata reflash, or you will lose power instead of making some. to get the full advantage of the reflash you need i/h/e, and will yield between 20-30 whp gain from the mod.
and i wouldnt call a hondata map "generic", id call it "what it should of been to begin with", they do a lot of r&d before releasing their programs.

If you mean about the reflash all the info is here

You must have a minimum of an intake or header.

It is not designed to work with a stock 06/07 Civic Si and will lose power between 4500rpm and 5600 rpm if installed.

so with an 08 civic sedan si would you have to do i/h/e then reflash or could you do intake then reflash and then headers and reflash and so on in that order?? also if you get i/h/e you cant boost. so when you boost does it come with stuff to replace i/h/e ??

you only need to reflash once. typically you need some sort of bolt on to benifit from the reflash. hondata recommends an intake OR header. however, you can gain a little more from the reflash if you have all the bolt-ons (i/h/e).

when you boost it replaces your bolt-ons, namely the intake and header. The intake will be replaced by a charge pipe and the header will be replace by a turbo manifold which is really a header that mounts a turbo.

no you can have an intake on the turbo on the inlet side. but really all that does is filter the ambient air being sucked in by the inlet so that you dont suck in road debris.

im actually a little confused as to way they would even sell a cold air intake for a turbo application. compressed air made from a turbo is cooled by passing through the intercooler.

im not an expert on VW's though
