sounds like it could be that. Do you hear any clicking from the axles when starting out from a stop? Did you align them to the yellow paint?

its not mounting it off center, but mounting it with the yellow paint matching up on the input flange of the diff and flange of the drivetrain! They are speed balanced by honda, and the yellow paint is there to get the least amount of rotational inbalance! What did you do to break the original diff? any launching? the axles may be bad too!

| Quote, originally posted by SLUGNIKEL608 » | Hey, I have recently replaced rear differential on 2001 S2k, and now upon acceleration I am getting a bad vibration. Could this be the driveshaft not being mounted exactly in the same mounting position that it was removed from or could axles be going bad. Hmmm, any suggestions on what I might need to try would be helpful. Modified by SLUGNIKEL608 at 6:50 AM 5/5/2008

clutch buzz only happens on deceleration. if your drive shaft or axles are imbalance, you should get vibration at certain speed regardless of acceleration or deceleration like imbalance tires.

ok, thanks... It mostly does it on acceleration between say 40-65mph. After that 70+ mph it really smooths out. I didn't know about the yellow lines for alignment..so that's probably it..(i hope). It ran smoothly until I put the new rear diff in. I will try and see the "yellow" lines and get them lined up and see how that does. Any other recommendations are appreciated as well. Oh by the way..I sheared a gear completely off my old diff and cracked all the rest of them. So that's the reason for the new diff. in the first place. But normally don't drive it hard..Daily driver mostly for me.
