There is no choke lever 1st clue, and when you turn on the key you can here the fuel pump. Sure is nice not having to use the choke, and boy is the throtle response smooth. fi

The choke thing is kind of misleading. Some FI bikes do have chokes. My 03 gsxr 600 does, and in my mind its better especially in colder temps to raise up the idle temporarily

That lever you are referring to is NOT a choke and for a fuel injection system to work properly in closed loop, it HAS to have an oxygen sensor! The lever you guys are referring to is a FAST IDLE lever that does nothing but open a secondary passage to allow more air to enter the engine. The ECU compensates by adding more fuel via air fuel ratios. Most bikes that have a fast idle lever run in closed loop mode at all times (taking readings from all sensors) instead of bikes that have more intricate fuel injection systems that use a open loop system that takes in account engine temperature to have an automatic warmup mode, just like a car. Almost every motorcycle on the planet does not like to run very well when cylinder temperatures are low. That is due to small amounts of displacement and the inability to atomize mixtures well cold. any more questions.....I'm here all week

I agree completely. I laugh at those that have to spend $400+ to tune their bike after an intake nd exhaust mod and all us carbie heads have to do to tune is buy a couple $2.50 jets and a couple $10-17 needles and plug chop and go! Dyno it in right for an extra $30-45 a trip. I love carbs!

yeah, fully programmable at a TRIUMPH CERTIFIED SERVICE CENTER no thanks on paying a shop $300+ to tune my bike for me. I am completely capable of doing it myself with use of m Innovate Technologies wideband and a Dyno for $40 a session. You have to have the $6,000+ Triumph scantool to access such properties. It is identical to re-mapping a GM, Dodge or Chrysler product.....or any modern car for that matter. They use a conventional OBD2 system....complete crap for motorcycles. You do not want to start with me. My kowledge in this area is pretty vast, it is what I do for a living.

Carbs sound better Carbs vs. FI is kinda like tube amps vs. solid state. Tubes have warmth and soul, are inefficient if not tuned correctly; while solid state is very efficient, clean, powerful... yet sterile.
