Question About Tire Wear Issues...« » Reply  Edit

I wanted to know how the Fit responds to lowering in terms of the camber, and what amount of drop if any will not effect camber. I am looking at either the Skunk2 or Tein springs, but I don't want tire wear issues. I know with my old coupe, I had to get a camber kit and do the washer trick in the rear, and I don't want to go through that hassle with the Fit.

So those of you with lowered Fits, how is your camber and tire wear; and at what level drop?

if you're worried about tire wear, don't lower your car. i am lowered on skunk2 springs without an alignment, and after 10k miles, i have a little wear. nothing crazy

I'm worried about it too. I switched out my stock wheels for some 15" Rota Circuit 10's, and I have a crazy camber issue with my rear wheels. I don't even have mine lowered. I'm going to my local Motorsport company (RevlineMotors) to have an alignment done and talk about the issues of lowering it with Springs or Coilovers. I'll let you know what they say.
