Just started noticing this in my 07 accord ex sedan. As I accelerate and shift through the gears, it never fails to have a hickup RIGHT @ 2,250-2,500 rpm in third gear especially. It's there in first and second gear, but barely noticeable, but third gear it's a definately their. If Im flooring it it wont happen, only happens at partial-moderate throttle. I checked with my service writer, he says there are no recalls, no reflashes for the car. I just wanted to check and see if anyone has had the same issue.

That's roughly the VTEC crossover point so that might be an issue. i-VTEC unlike other forms of VTEC means you're pretty much in VTEC at all times, which is why it engages so low. Might want to start there.

There should be no hiccups in the powerband. Since it is under warranty I would have a dealer check it out. There is no V-tec engagement like the old b-series engines. I-vtec has a constant varible intake cam so vtec is always "engaged" ive driven many accords and none have hiccups like you describe

yeah, I work at the dealership so I've driven a LOT of 'em... I'm pretty sure I understand the problem, but what sucks is there's probly nothing the dealership is going to do about it. It's even harder to get service at a dealership when you work there. IMO I think the car was tuned for better gas than the 87 octane I've been putting in it. To me it just feels like it's either a little lean or there's too much timing right at that point. I just wish there was an 07 accord on my lot with a manual trans. so I could see if it does the same thing. I'm gonna get it in for a diagnoses, I'll let you guys know if the tech. comes up w/ anything.
