OEM Antenna Plug with Part Number« » Reply  Edit

I hated the fact that when I wanted to listen to the radio, the antenna would go up. I know you can unplug the power plug going into the antenna to prevent it from going up, but I decided to go with a Metra hidden antenna instead.

The part number for the plug is:

82871-671-000 GROMMET (25MM)

You can get them at any Honda or Acura dealership since this grommet is found on any Accord or TSX (and other models as well). This is probably the same plug JDMLand (ICB) and JDMTheory sells for $10 and $8, respectively. It only costs a few dollars.

Pics on the caR, close up and far away:

The fitment is great and seals really well.

Use a flathead to remove the collar (metal ring), unscrews counterclockwise. You can now remove the black portion. Now, remove enough bolts and clips to allow access behind the plastic panel in the hatch area. Unplug the antenna and power wires, and then remove the 10mm nut to take out the antenna assembly.

I will add that you need to plug the antenna drain tube or else the sunroof (if equipped) can drain into the hatch.

There is a Tee connection with clear tubing attached. Block off the open tubing end. It is located where the antenna motor was.

The Tee is part 6.
