Z6 block/waterpump/tensioner
A6 head

A6 timing belt is too long, Z6 is just a bit too short.

I know, from a quick search, that the Z6 belt has 104 teeth, while the A6 has 107, and they both have the same deck height (212mm)

I could try to find a 105/106 tooth belt, or, if one of you would be so kind, compare my tensioner (that I bought at CarQuest) to an OEM one.

Using a mic I measured my tensioner diameter - 52.80mm or 2.078in

Maybe the A6 tensioner would help pick up the slack in the A6 belt... I guess I don't know at this point and need advice.

Thanks,

Colin

Couldn't you use the Y8 belt? If I'm not mistaken doesn't it have 105 teeth? Correct me if I'm wrong

I've heard that or a VX belt. I guess I'll just buy each belt and count the teeth
