I have a 1988 accord hatchback. I new to the import scene i was wondering how should i build my car for street racing i would to be in 11 sec if possible! i have 2.0liter pfi engine ( i think it call b20 motor)not for sure though. i also have a 5 speed. all i have done to it is shorten the shifter like 4-6 inches put 2 1/4 inches pipes and muffler and a cold air intake that sucks from the front of the car but that all i done to it so far. I dont know much on the import motor have been in trucks, camaro and trans am all my life so any help would be appreciate

it is tough to build an 11 sec street car, let alone using an 88 Accord. It can be done, but be prepared to spend some money or know people who can do good fab work.

The b20a is in the JDM version of the car. the engine you probably have is an A20A3, which is a good boost engine as it is cast iron and has a closed deck compared to many honda engines. the problem is that the head doesnt flow the greatest stock and the intake manifold sucks, that can all be fixed though with a good head porter and aftermarket intake manifold. there are no turbo "kits" or pistons/rods/cam actually made for it. so custom and mix matching parts is the name of the game. i have been out of the a20 game for a while so I can not tell you exactly what is available or can be used. I have an 88 LXi coupe that I swapped a newer B-series engine into...so you can make these cars go.

Anyway, you can make it an 11sec ride, but it will take time, patience, and creativity.

also, try http://www.3geez.com lots of turbo info there!

No, a H22 is a drop in for the CB/CD/CG chassis NOT the old ones.......

A B series is the drop in for the older model Accords.

B-series dont even "drop in". the only motor that drops in is the B20A8, which ONLY came in the JDM/EDM/NZDM(lol) accord of that era. The others require mounts, axles, etc.
