200HP type R what size slicks

Default 200HP type R what size slicks

my freind has a type R
he put down 200hp on a mustang dyno,he wanted to know what slick size and rim combo..he has spoon calpiers.i say 23x8x15,but what rims will fit over the spoon calipers?

I'd only do a 23 if he's got a shorter final drive. And even then it'd be more about the torque that he's producing.

I always like the 20" x 14", but I guess that won't work w/ Type R brakes, so 22"

I am using 22,i cut a mid 1.7 60 consistently check out my launch in the vid below.

i made 185hp on my gsr motor with ITR tranny, 20x8x14s did me well for 4 yrs, never broke anyhting either.

then i turbo'd the setup and tried them again, way too short of a tire, ran out of 5th gear before the end of the 1/4...lol


since you have to run 15s (if they clear the spoon calipers)

22s would be my choice, 23s if you had too

sorry for thread jack but im wondering the same thing but i have a ls with stock tranny exept for clutch and i was wondering what i should go with to? im tryin to hit high 14's with just I,H,E , high flow cat, blox IM, hondata IM gasket, b18b 60mm TB, lighter odyessy/passwordjdm cf relocation battery kit and gutted rear interior and i was wondering if i should go with slicks or drag radials to help me get into the 14's thanks
