Well, I've been planning this for over a year and a half. I've been piecing this setup together for a little over a year. My clean freak Grand Mother in law lost my growing parts, and cost of each part list that i made. I gave up on making a new one. I hope to not drag this out for more than a couple months or so. I have had two shiteh checks in a row=flat rate mechanic. With all the bills my family has, it's a miracle I'm almost there. So...my setup is as follows
Items that have been in the car for 2 years:
Second gen jdm b16
4,4 final drive itr tranny
engine mount inserts
fidanza lightened fly
exedy stock replacement clutch
unknown jdm spark plug wires 8mm
Auto Meter monster tach
P30 computer

custom down pipe 2.5" to 3" back with 3" flex joint

Turbo SX dual stage boost controller

Looking for 300 whp, so far my best time with my current setup is 14.39@94.67mph. I would love to hit mid 12's with the new setup

Items i plan on buying in the near future
Traction bars
Wide band A/F gauge
some slicks
upgrade clutch

So here is some progress already made. Some one please let me now how to post pic's. other wise.... edit: Pics are further down.


So far what i have installed on the car besides the boost controller and toggle switch is mocking up. I know my engine bay is dirty and i will clean later for my personal enjoyment. Other wise i don't care.
I'll post some vids of my runs @ Firebird Raceway in Chandler, AZ later this week

Build looks nice...clean your dash though. Don't ride around in filth... Oh and why is your tachometer showing 8300 rpm in that pic?

Are cast manifolds like these any good? I've been looking into a turbo build recently

I"M" GOing to put rear seats and belts in for the kids, but will be at the track often (and pulling them back out).

the set point on the tach keeps moving when i shift hard, set for 8.1k.

I've heard the manifolds good, searched and there are people on here using them for long periods of time.

well, I've been working on it here and there, but it is getting alot closer.
hope you guys enjoy

mounting of boost cooler reservoir along with oil psi line,boost cooler line, & wastegate vacuum line routing. Still needs cleaned up a bit.

charge piping line up

intercooler line up

pic of boost cooler line hook ups. Yes i will put a rubber grommet in both holes so the line doesn't chafe

pic of mounting position for boost cooler pump. The positioning of the pump to intercooler piping is about 2". Piping to tow hooks is 1.5". I think i'll be alright with the traction bars i'm getting later.

I've been looking @ my downpipe options. I'll be going to set something up this weekend. I still have to tap the oil pan for the return, fab up a downpipe and dump tube, and finish the inside wiring. oh and install the head gasket, cams, springs and retainers.
I'm ass uming another month. I can't wait, neither can my budz

keep us posted on how it all end up. love to see some time slips. I'm lookin to turbo my EM1 later this summer with hp goals the same as what your looking for so im curious to how it all works out. Good luck

thats the boost cooler pump, the reservoir is where the p.s. pump and p.s. pump reservoir used to be.
i hope to be running it at the track in June
hell, i've been thinking about pushing it alittle past 300whp

I just got mined tuned and with a gsr, 680cc injectors, 255lph pump, and t3\t4 turbo running 11psi I got 305whp and 245ftlbs so you may need to bump up the boost a little if your going to break 300whp I was a 10psi and was just a little under and went ahead for the extra pound to break the mark.

Well going from 140whp to 305whp is like driving a whole diffrent car but the only problem is that 2nd and 3rd gear 4500-7k it just breaks loose so I am in desprite need for some slicks for the track and probally just some better street slicks but it is sick I LOVE IT!!!

I've got some 205/55 15's bfg radials that i was using, but i know i'm gonna have to get some 23" slicks....more money.
I'm ready for some 2nd gear burnouts with slicks!!

think your dreaming now, when I did my first boost on my ls in my ek at 12 psi, I would hear the psssssssstttttt in my sleep and get up at 2 in the morning and have to drive it, frickin crazy!!!!
