As the header says. What does everyone think of the new one or should I just go ahead and get the current one? I like them both. I know I could wait unitl the new ones come out and get an '08 for a reduced price but I'm just not sure. Drove a Honda for twelve years and I am ready to go back(current ride is an '04 Mazda 3). Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks everyone.

I don't like the new body style, i think it looks buggish. Go for the 08.

Hell, go drive both. You may feel totally different in one vs. the other.


If I had to do it all over again, I would have went Mini Cooper S instead.

Not to mention the 09's will have some new features that you may want. Like navigation. Im going to wait for the 09's. If I like them Ill get one of those if not the 08's will be open for aggressive negotiation.

A Mini?! I admit I did look at them. A friend/coworker of mine has a older (pre turbo) one and loves it. But they cost considerably more than the fit, not to mention maintenance items and insurance... That turned me off.

That is not really a fair comparison. If I could do it over I would have bought an Elise .

Other than the small size, there is nothing really in common between the two.

My sister owns a mini and I would never wish one on my worst enemy. For the price, performance sucks and it is in the shop more than she drives it. The repair bills are absurd.
