Evosport's CLK63 Black Series build. Pricing is like $8000 from what I hear for the header's and X pipe set up.

Also, check out the roll bar they built. Leather wrapped to match the steering wheel.

pretty amazing work there. I have a customer with a black series and he has been talking about adding exhaust and ecu. I'm guessing this is the company he's going with.

I love the factory look of the aero bits and cage though, top notch.

why the this is a mercedes benz not some pos honda, when people spend that much on the car itself and then all that cash on modding it, they sure as phuck are goin to take the time to finish of the details, thats what seperates a modded car from a super sick car like this

for attention to detail

if you read he said the whole rollbar with the leather wrap only weighs 42lbs, thats pretty light for a rollbar

how is that roll bar going to pass tech with the leather wrap?

i always assume the only reason people put scaffolding in their cars is to race on a track or whatever. so why would you cover up everything that needs to be inspected for tech?

High quality work, but why do I have this feeling that this car's never gonna see a day at the track?

Fab work looks good, welds are fine, better than fine.
Hammering on custom-built headers is gay, but it is stated they are prototype, so maybe they will move the tubes on the real set...
Hammering on #'s 2 and 4. Say what you will, those headers are probably
6000 bucks. No charge for the hammering though...lol

The parts are very well built and the fit and finish looks great. But I must agree that the leather wrapped roll cage is an obvious contradiction in terms. This car will most likely be more of a show car than track car.

Nevertheless, very nicely fabricated.

great. so how is the roll bar going to be inspected?

it's not becuase the car is so nice.... it will never see track duty..... oh ok, then DON"T MODIFY IT!

adding a roll bar to a street car can KILL you, covering it in leather will cover up the welds which need to be inspected. and by the looks of it this really has a NEED to cover up his welds hahaha

A LOT more of those high end cars see track duty than you'd ever believe, and unlike a shitastic tacked together honda or tin box, most of them actually make it through the day.

Exactly. I can't imagine what kind of douchebag requests a leather-wrapped cage....
A leather wrapped rollcage is stupid. End of story.
Although I will say that the craftsmanship looks to be top notch, which it better be for that money.

Its most likely their demo car so as you know most show cars have crap in them that is useless.

I cant wait to see what they'll do with the C63 that just showed up on showroom floors.

guys. read the damn words not just the pictures. the guy talks about racing his car on a track for at least 10 paragraphs.

also, i'm sure this guy is racing at his local auto country club not in the scca. passing tech at one of these is not much different than at a drag course. "hey, does that car have wheels?"

"yep, it sure does". PASS. lol.

Dinan headers for an E39 M5 are $8k. Makes a $2k custom header for a honda look like a steal.

What's the difference between a mercedes with a leather wrapped cage that doesn't see the track, and a gutted caged up civic that only sees car shows...

no matter how much faster the civic is around the track, down the strip

people will always call it hacked together reguardless of who built it.

the mercades will always have the impression of being nicer and faster.

IE if i charged you 10 thsouand for something............but it can be had for 500.

if you bought it at 10 grand you would somehow think it's better than the exact same (maybe better $500 item)
