I just was thinking about the show, considering i live about 15 min away and have gone every year since 2000. I am really surprised no one else has started a thread about it yet , but i am local and i am going !

i'm going to go. not judging the car just because it isn't worth the extra ten bucks for a plaque is you win. I won the JDM class the past two years....but like I said....it isn't worth the extra money. so I'm showing....just not being judged.

so true except they don't even have style . There are also alot of nice street cars - you just need to weed through the shit. The non judged show field is the best bet - $40 pre registered. You get 3 day access for two people. I've been going since the first year (1998 I think - yeah I can't remember, I'm getting old). I might as well go, I'm only 6 miles from the fairgrounds.

it depends, most of the "judged" show field is alot of rice, but the non-judged have cars like this:

im sorry that my car doesnt look like a car out of the mugen catalog ha ha f&cking lame &ss if you ever want to line em up at the drag strip id be glad to, and im willing to bet that even though you think your car is "the shit" 90% of the people on honda-tech would prefer a 400whp clean teg even though it doesnt have baller a$$ wheels btw i love your signature as mugen body parts have nothing to do with function, more like an excuse to have a body kit haha

We were just talking about this yesterday but dont think we'll go.I have been going since 1997 after that it just got worse, and worse, 2005 finished it for me.No one out there knows how to act,Im sure you all know about that story back in the day when the show was banned from the fair grounds?I was there that year also and saw it all.I saw the same cars every year with subtle changes, sometimes none, and the rice factor is huge!!!! I miss all of the good vendors that used to be there selling really nice shit, not bodykits, neons, washer led's,and colored mufflers.Oh!!!I forgot gas is high LOL.I could go on for a week about how much this show does and will suck.Everyone please be sure to post pics!!!!!!

haha it's cool. four function has nothing to do with mugen. think what you want. they are still knock offs of a mugen wheel. whatever floats your boat. but carlisle is rota central. has been since it started. that's fine that you have 400 whp. good for you. the car is clean but i don't like knock offs. me a river. I don't run straight line anyways....i didn't build the car for that, built it for autoX/roadracing. I still have some stuff to add but right now it's 200 whp from a B16B. once I up some things I hope to be 250 or so NA. Build your car the way you want but don't get all pissed off if someone says something bad about your car. everyone has different taste right? Alot of people don't like my car because it has mugen on it.....but know this....haha....Mugen was built for RACE. so why would you think that mugen has nothing to do with function? I really don't get how you say that when it is track tested.....and track proven? sorry I hit some nerves.....think of me what you will....no sweat off my back.
