IF YOU DO NOT READ THIS, AND POST UP FOR SALE THREADS OR "WHOS CAR IS FASTER?" OR "DO YOU LIKE THIS LIP" OR "IS THIS PAINT SHOP GOOD" OR "WHO LIVES IN ATLANTA?" OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS NOT TECHNICAL WE WILL DELETE AND DEDUCT POINTS. THE AMOUNT OF GARBAGE HERE RECENTLY HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. READ THE RULES AND FOLLOW THEM TO KEEP THIS FORUM TECHNICAL AND PRODUCTIVE!!!!!!!

The staff of Honda-Tech.com has become aware that you, oh timid newbie, may be wary of posting your musings on our little corner of the Internet. But, young fragile newbie, we want to make you feel welcome and answer your questions. To ease the process we suggest you heed the following advice:

First off, you are a trial user for 15 days upon signing up for the board. You can not post everywhere, do not have messaging capabilities and are stuck with your Trial User avatar. This is so you can learn the ins and outs of the board before posting everywhere. You are limited to 5 posts a day, so use them wisely! You MUST have a few posts before you are a full member no matter how many days you have been one. So if you have been a member for 150 days and have 0 posts, you'll still be a trial member, so respond to a topic accordingly.

If you want to post a thread saying "Hi Im new" then do so in the designated post at the top. DO NOT CREATE A NEW "HI IM NEW" THREAD

Research our topics to see if your question has already been answered. The site is equipped with a search function that allows you to browse past discussions. Not only might you find an answer to your question, you will also find a great archive of accumulated knowledge that you may wish to read at any time. Although we encourage using the search feature before posting, current members should understand that no case is open and shut, and new information can arise at any time.

Please refrain from attacking people for not using the search feature, as you never know what discussion may arise from the new thread. This may be appropriate in some cases, but if all you can contribute to a thread is "do a search" DO NOT POST AT ALL. Try and be helpful to one another...if its a redundant post, then post a link to the answer or report it to us

Be patient. The simplest questions are often answered last. Many people here have been on Internet discussion boards for quite some time and are reluctant to draft answers to questions that they may have posted several times before. Most all questions receive at least some sort of response by the end of each day. If you need an immediate answer, the first thing to do is use the search feature. If you still need clarification, feel free to post.

Most importantly, be clear and objective. State the specifics of your situation, as each situation demands a different answer. List your modifications, your intended purpose for the car, and specifically what characteristics you would like to change. The more information you can give us, the better answer you will receive.

If you have a question, make sure its a question. Most victims of flame wars post answers in the forms of questions. They have their mind made up, they are not impartial, and all too often they have not done their own research.

Discussions are sometimes better than answers. If you don't feel as though you are 100% sure of your answer, let your uncertainty be known or don’t answer at all. You will not be flamed for posting your thoughts, theories, opinions, or even wild guesses as long as you don’t represent them as fact. You’ll have done no wrong by making an incorrect assumption as long as you remain open to its discussion and dissection. Keep in mind there is probably someone else out there that can provide a 100% answer, so if you are unsure about something, it is best to say so. Remember, people rely on your information and vice versa, so dont steer anyone in the wrong direction based on regurgitated internet myths.

Now for a few bullets and reminders about the Integra Forum:

-Try not to piss off the big meany-head Administrators or Moderators.

-IBTL, +1, etc. posts are not allowed. Post-whoring is lame. This is a messageboard on the internet. No one cares if your post count is high. Except the Moderators, who will deduct points from members for posting such useless replies to topics.

-For Sale, WTB, For Trade posts belong in the CLASSIFIEDS. I dont care if YOU ARE A TRIAL USER, or your sisters iguana needs a testicle transplant and you need to sell your Akimoto Intake ASAP. If you really have an emergency, please contact either myself or Chris and we will OK it. This includes linking to Ebay and other Classifieds posts.

Where can I buy this intake? Who has good prices on blue bulbs?
The answer will ALWAYS BE OUR SPONSORS. We have tons of sponsors who sell everything you could ever want. They DO hook our members up with the best prices on the planet, so UTILIZE THEM. The answer is always the SPONSORS HAVE THE BEST PRICE.

-"Which is faster", "Who will win" and "What can I smoke" posts are not allowed for obvious reasons. The answer was, is, and always will be...go race and find out.

-Appearance questions belong in the Appearance forum. There is a fine line here, as we understand some cosmetic things can be Integra specific. That's OK. Post it in Appearance anyway. If you still cant find the answer youre looking for, try the Integra forum, just state that you tried A/C and got nothing. We are reasonable, just let us know whats up and in most cases we will overlook things. As long as it doesnt compromise the basic fundamentals of keeping the forum strictly technical. NO "what color should I..." or "Which wheels" etc. is allowed. Thats blatantly an Appearance question.

-Picture Posts - We understand that this is a community, and people do like updating everyone on their cars progress. You are allowed to do so, as long as it is a COMPLETE update. No posting pictures of your new wheels, and that's it. If you have technical modifications that you wish to discuss, and want to include pictures of your car, you are more than welcome to do so. This keeps picture posting to a minimum since complete updates can only be posted so often, and also encourages technical discussion while letting you guys enjoy pictures of each others cars.

-Off Topic Posts - "Who wants to see Fast and the Furious?", "How much do you pay for Insurance?" etc. These topics are exactly why we have a General Discussion and Debate forum. They will be moved there. A good rule of thumb, if it isnt about Integras, and it doesnt include any technical discussion, don't post it.

Open Polls - You should be able to post open polls here, so you are allowed. Whats NOT allowed is stupid responses. "Smoke Weed Everyday" "Youre an idiot" "I hate Noobs" etc will NOT be tolerated. We CAN see who makes what choices, and when we see who created these choices, we WILL deduct points and place restrictions. We're going to be strict on this too, because its so utterly LAME how people do this so often. Grow up or leave.

Just remember guys, the Integra forum is for TECHNICAL DISCUSSION ONLY. That is how we intended it to be since Day 1, and that is how we plan to keep it. We hope these guidelines give you guys a better idea of what the forum is all about.

We're all here to share knowledge, experience and information, while having a good time. Dont be so uptight about the rules or noobies or whatever...just enjoy yourselves and make use of the awesome resource that we have.

Keep in mind the flaming policy. Just because I'm releasing it's sticky does not mean that it is not still in effect. Here is the link.
