Default The biggest loser AT WORK

hey guys my work is having a contest for the staff i work at a long-term care facility. Now its the biggest loser in weight i guess like the show. Its going to be for 12 weeks. so the begining of june. Now im 19 5'7 235 lbs. I work with a lot of older people 30+ with families. I believe i can pull this one out. I am very dedicated i go workout with my friends everynight. The problem is that it is weight lifting. So when this contest starts im going to go all cardio. Im going to go cardio in them morning and cardio in the evening. I am very motivated a lot of drama has gone down and im ready for a change.

So what im trying to figure out here are what are some good diet plans. What are good meals for someone who is trying to lose weight. I can handle eating steamed vegetables , fruits anything just let me know.
For breakfast i usually eat a bowl of kashi cereal and water.
For lunch i usually have a big100 collosal bar. fruit and bottled water
for dinner i usually eat watever my mom cooks but this will all change on april 1st
so if anyone can give me some pointers or tips i would be very thankful

forgot to mention the prize is all the money that the contestants give up. And an all paid trip to wisconsin dells for 2 people me and my buddy. I truly believe i can win

1. Wrap yourself in garbage bags.
2. Put layers of clothes.
3. Sit in a Sauna.
4. Don't eat.

When you reach your mark and win teh $$.
Binge.

It took your work to motivate you to actually lose weight? 5'7'' @ 235 is huge, i dont know if it's fat or muscle but just eat right and have lift and cardio days. Staying committed will get you to your goal. If you're just doing it to win the contest just take hydroxycut or something.

nah i have been dying to cut weight i was 260 2 summers ago and i have been steady at 240 but i havent given it my all. My work is not what motivated me there has been other things and other reasons but this contest at work is making me dedicated to do this NOW. I have already cut pepsi, coke sodas, now i only drink mostly water with a little bit of ice tea and lemonade at times, but before i would drink pop like no other now i cant stand it

do you know how to cook? If so, then good. If not, then learn

When I started cooking foods, I found out buying groceries in bulk actually saves a TON of money. I just buy a crapload of everything healthy I see and eat all of it by cooking it somehow.

Grilled chicken, spinach, yogourt, low/no fat cottage cheese

Those are all good foods that I stick too when I cut weight.

He's basically correct. But then again you just want to lose the most weight possible not the most fat so...

Easiest way to just lose weight would be to do cardio ALL the time and pretty much starve yourself.

alright update
well basically what i do is
wake up 5:45 eat a banana and go to the gym
where i run for 20 minutes and row for 15 minutes drinking water
come home and eat a bowl of rasin bran cereal with skim milk
then work or school
by 12:30 i eat 1/2 cup of brown rice with a grilled chicken/or fish with either mushrooms brocolli or spinach and an orange and 2 water bottles.
i work till 6 come home
and eat the same thing i had for lunch but either the chicken or the fish and a water bottle and 2-3 cups of crystal light.
Then i would go to the gym for some lifting but this is what I DO DAILY.
come home for some more water or crystal light whatever is avaliable.

now im thinking about buying lipo-6x or hydroxycut hardcore can anyone give me any recommendations or tips. I saw in a magazine that a guy who was 240 took lipo 6 and went from 240 to 215 in 5 weeks and in 12 weeks he went to 180 which is what i want to be at the end of this contest so im thinking about going with lipo-6 but still researching
