Some of the details are still in the works, but it's going to happen and it's going to be big!

There has still to this day not been a big east vs. west event, only lots of talk about who's the best. Ennis is a killer track and a great central location. So who's down?

There will also be a car show handled by Texas Heat Wave, so those of you with race cars that don't actually race can come too.

Yea what makes Tony think that Texas is central . I guess he never lived up north.

Good Luck with the event Tony.

I'm headed back to VT tonight to ski some more this weekend.

Earl, thanks for all you did for us, "all of us". You'll live on in our memories. No one could ever replace you. RIP

I would love to go, but the payout is pretty low. Is that because there is no sponsor for the classes other than SFWD?

I wish some people would spend more time on their race cars and less time on H-T pretending they're racers. Don't talk about it, be about it.

Hopefully the events like this and the big money alabama race for instance work out really well this year

..i have a feeling that this is where you are going to see the future of sport compact drag racing -- instead of teams following a national series per say if enough of these type of events can be generated and payout can be attractive enough you will see teams running a couple of "national" series events and a couple of the specialized events to fill out their season

More things in the works on this race.... I have the classes and I am working on getting some sponsors for this race. This race will have tech and rules to enforce so you dont run into problems like others have seen recently here locally. And it will be more organized!! For all those racers that came up to me in the past about doing something this is the race you've asked for!

i see this as the future but for a different reason. smaller events like these especially ones that cater to street cars in smaller markets are what the sport needs to grow. a good core of racers can be built up if you have a few races during the year with a format similar to what the national series run. that way when the big series comes to town you have a group of racers ready to run and probably competitive with the big dogs from out of town.

you would think people that are not happy with nopi /battle/sport compact in its current state would show more interest in races like these. i know im pretty much done with the drama i just want to be able to pull my car out of the trailer and race fairly and have fun and not have to worry about if my windshield wipers will pass tech
