they need to figure out how to update without messing with the baseband. so the phone will always be unlocked with updates.we still dont have software unlock since 1.1.1
the sim solutions aren't so bad for 1.1.2 i'm still on 1.0.2 lol

1.1.3 jailbreak for mac now available.1.1.3 jailbreak for windows has been available as well. How to create contact shortcuts on your home screen: Open up Safari. In the URL box type in (phonenumber).tel.qlnk.net e.g. 5105551234.tel.qlnk.net You'll see the following popup (phonenumber)
Cancel Call Select Cancel. Then create a bookmark by pressing the + button at the bottom. Save as the name of the contact.

That is pretty bad ass. I may look into this in the next couple days. Currently I'm using 1.1.1 that has been Jail broken. Right now, the only things I have installed are:
1) NES Emulator
2) Mariam Webster Dictionary
3) Cross Language Software as I work with lots of Japanese people
4) Apollo, which is a real time Instant Messenger which allows you to use MSN, Yahoo, AOL and a few others. Works like a charm.
5) Iphone Ring Tone Maker

if you have a jailbreak / unlock phone stay with 1.1.2
1.1.3 has way too many issues right now. It's not worth upgrading. 1.1.3 doesn't have anything special anyways. Just wait until sdk is released. Should be soon.

Your baseband won't be downgraded, this is normal.
This will probably work on other versions too, but 1.1.2 doesn't lose wifi on bb access. 3. Kill CommCenter and run "gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls" 4. Reload CommCenter. For some reason my phone was in brick mode. Use the elite team bricktool to get out. 5. Enjoy your 1.1.2 OTB unlocked iPhone Now who'd have thought it'd be this easy This release is no thanks to elite/dev

that ziphone program was very smooth.how come there's a signal level problem with 1.1.2 and up? i've unlocked 1.02 and 1.1.1 and those signal levels are much nicer. must be a problem with the new firmwares. i compared both my 1.02 and a 1.1.2 unlocked side by side with tmobile sims; 1.02 would show 5 bars, while the 1.1.2 shows 1-2 bars.
