2007 Season is over, the Boston Red Sox are your World Series Champions for the second time in four years.

Should be a very interesting offseason for baseball, lots of free agents, etc.

imo.

AL CY: Josh Beckett
AL ROY: Dustin Pedroia
2007 WS MVP: Jacoby Ellsbury

Let the hating/discussion begin!

Rockies should have close to the same team next year, with their first post-season under their belts. Looks like Garret Atkins is gone and Ian Stewart will be in at 3rd. Wonder if we're going to have enough money to sign a free agent... either pitching or...

A-Rod who just opted out of his NY contract

Why hit baseballs with a bat when you can let out the aggression on Contreras instead?

He is like a cue ball. The harder you hit him, the more english you get out of him.

Schilling just earned himself another year with his postseason performances. So he'll be back, Now they just needs to find replacements for Lopez (Who was f*cking useless) and Timlin in the bullpen. Maybe resign Eric Gagne?

First big offseason trade occured today....

Quote, originally posted by Rotoworld »
Tigers acquired shortstop Edgar Renteria from the Braves for RHP Jair Jurrjens and outfielder Gorkys Hernandez.

That was remarkably quick. That Renteria is being dealt is no surprise, and it figured that the Tigers would be high on the list of suitors. However, we don't see wht the Braves felt they had to make the move today when better offers could have come later. This simply isn't a great return for a player who was one of the best in the NL last season. Renteria hit .332/.390/.470 in 2007, and he's under control for a very reasonable $20 million over two years (the second year is at Detroit's option). The Tigers did quite well to get him now. It'll certainly head off any Alex Rodriguez speculation.

Mattingly to not return as bench coach. This is getting better every minute.

Mattingly is the curse!

Interesting move by Tigers, somebody pegged them as maybe going after ARod since they needed a SS. Not so now (maybe).

I keep hearing that the Red Sox are one of the teams that would go after a-rod. Do you think they are gonna go after him or sign mike lowell instead.?

I think they are gonna look at both options. I want them to re-sign Lowell, but if they don't, then why not go for AROD? He's stated before he would love to play in Boston, and I think it will be a better fit for him. The fans would grow to love him and not boo him like NY did. Plus I think he'd have better numbers playing at a park like fenway. I am waiting to see how this all plays out, and I can't wait until the dealing starts to happen. to a great offseason.

Moves I'd like the Reds to make

1) Sign Adam Dunn to a LTD
2) Trade Hatteberg or let him go (Awesome player, awesome man, but if he doesn't want to sit the bench, let him play for someone else. he's still got some left in his tank).
3) Sign a decent starter
4) Sign a nice reliever

I hope WK can work some of his magic and find some bargains again.
