1997 Honda Accord EX - To Buy or Not To Buy?
Hi, I'm wondering whether or not a 1997 Honda Accord EX (2.7L V6) with 183,000 miles is worth $3,900? 183,000 miles is ALOT of miles regardless if it's a Honda or not. This is probably the wrong place to ask if I should buy this vehicle, being as the answers may be a little biased, but, will this car (mainly the engine and transmission) last?

make sure all the maintanence (should have had waterpump done twice) and check the tranny..v6 and autos in particular have some issue..wont be able to tell unless you test drive..if the tranny is bad stay away
i have a 94 accord with the same miles..the tranny is slowly going..but other than that i hope my car lasts forever

agree. no point of getting an old used car with high mileage that you will probably drive for no more than 3 years before getting something else. save your money.

I dont think thats worth it. I do not like a car with that high mileage, because a car needs to be taken care of to last a long time. I would say anything under 130k is better. I would not buy one with over 150k. I would have to know the person who owned the car and how well they took care of it to buy a car with 180k miles.
