I used to have a nicely up'd PM5, but i sold it after i stopped playing a while back. Now i have an Ion with VP Scythe trigger, SP 360 QEV, SP s rail and on/off asa, Virtue on/off button(no longer used), Rampage board with membrane pad, q lock, l7 bolt, and full freak kit with Stiffi tip. To be honest, i wouldnt trade the Ion for the PM5 unless i was getting alot of money out of it. The Ion shoots so much better, its noticabley lighter, better balanced, has no kick, and never gives me any problems. The PM5 was a good marker, but my Ion is so much better.

BTW-I have a Rip'd Halo B with a Cheetah board and an x.mods motor(yes, i did a motor swap on my hopper ). The fastest ive shot it was 33bps, and my hopper wasnt near max'd out. Im sure it could go a little faster, but it really serves no purpose and i dont want to risk messing anything up. I only did it that one time to see what shed do

Yea i feel ya man. The heat here has been fucking insane. I played two weekends ago and it was 102deg...with a heat index of 113deg. We would play a game then sit for like 30 minutes lol. I cant wait until it gets cold again.

If you have a compressor that can make 3k PSI than you can fill it at home. I guess you could use a regular garage compressor if you wanted to get ~30 shots

i would say nitro is recommended (more consistent shots and less hassle with o-rings) but a bit pricey. you dont have to buy the 200+ tanks just get like a nice crossfire 4500 hp tank for like 160.

as for barrels for the most part the only big differences is the weight, everything is pretty much the same. you want a good paint bore to barrel match. if you're going to be using the same paintballs forever then you could find a single piece barrel with the same bore sizing as the paint. other options are barrel kits, like the freak, empire, etc., which have tons of bore sizing so you can adjust to your paintballs. so you might want to look into that. for sizing you cant go wrong with a 14" barrel. check up on actionvillage.com they got everything there.
