As with the ToS the GDD Guidelines are the following:

Honda-Tech administrators and moderators are the sole interpreters of the following rules/guidelines. They are the ones who determine whether or not a rule has been broken. Admins/Moderators also reserve the right to add/remove/adjust the rules/guidelines as necessary without prior warning.

(1) Thread Lock/moved to Moderated Threads
(2) % point deduction
(3) possible banning
(4) Ban

No craiglist/eBay threads. (1)
No posting of pornographic pictures or links (1)(2)(3)
No Spamming (1)(2)(3)(4)
No excessive flaming (1)(2)(3)
No derogatory remarks with regards to race/religion/creed/culture/ethnicity/sexual preference (1)(2)(3)(4)
Excerpt from ToS: No one shall create or condone a post openly disparaging or in contempt of any individual or group of people based on race, colour, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family relationship, age, mental or physical disability, religion or religious beliefs.

Members are cautioned to take the greatest care when referring to individuals not to insult another member by using a pejorative term referring to an individual's membership in a protected class. Moderators will actively pursue complaints raised about these issues, and enact sanctions, up to and including the deletion of the account of a habitual offender.

No phone blitz threads (1)
No "trick" linking to include polls (1)(2)

No threads with regards to illicit/illegal drug/alcohol use (1)(2)

Please title your threads based on what the TOPIC is. One word, inaccurately titled threads don't allow the search feature to work very well. This site needs your help to make sure people can find your threads. If you can't title your thread properly, people won't want to read it. If it is not titled properly, it will be locked or deleted. This forum has enough clutter, threads like these just add to it.

Instead of dealing with these people so they stop the BS, the thread is just locked.

It seems like almost all the threads in GDD anymore just turn into offtopic garbage because a handful of immature kids (post whores) think these kinds of posts are funny.

This is a more recent thing too, it hasn't always been this OT, I've been here long enough to know that. Anymore it just seems like I'm on a playground when i go in here.

I had wondered the same thing. A few things need updated in there, including the ability of users to change their user name.

Quite recently, the ability to change your username has been disabled. Allegedly, one weapon in a scammers arsenal was to change their username and hide in the tall grass until the coast was clear. Diabling this feature is used to thwart such scammers.

I know, read about it in the mod corner.
It's not that tall a field though, if they had ever edited a post with the old name a simple search for there user name would point them out.
