Default RHD EF8 conversion, restoration/build thread

First and foremost, yes, this is Erik's old car, I found it neglected near Fresno and decided to bring it back to life hopefully I can find a before pic

That I've found its been in Oct 02 Super Street and the movie pursuit of function. It may also be found on a ton of different web sites

I realize I should have started the thread at the beginning, but you know how it goes, I had money and was too excited to wait.

beautiful car, regardless if someone else built it. anybody on here with the money and opportunity wouldnt hesistate to buy that car. congrats!

i saw this car for sale a few months ago on autotrader for 7g's i beleive and i have that super street!!! i look at it once a week!!! great find

it was in auto trader, but i picked it up back in feb, they kept running the add for a few more months though, i'll tell you i didn't pay 7g's it was in pretty rough shape when i found it

WOW! I remember seeing this car back in '02 when I was about 16. The Super Street article is picture framed on my wall. This was the CR-X that inspired me to get into these kinda cars. The car still looks great. I'd hook up those Sabelts properly, or get some factory belts, fresh set of headlights, and this thing would be money all over again!! Even after all the dispute about this thing being a welded front cut, time prevails, and the car is still running around to this day!! I love it!

...does the car still have the Mugen exhuast?

unfortunately, one of the owners between me and erik backed the car up into a rock, and in doing so crushed the mugen exhaust, i've been trying to find another one, but they are pretty hard to come by let alone one that isn't all rusted, and when you find them, they aren't cheap, but i'll keep looking

AeroCatch Flush-Mount Hood Pins
if you googel this they make the flush mount hood pinst i just got a pair and they are quality accesories

yes that's the same car, the hood pins are also made by aerocatch/top secret, and bride makes some from what i've heard, i'd recomend pro install though, you mess up the holes and the pins/hood become worthless.

to you know what issue of tmr that was?
