I been keeping up with everyones build and restorations and I figure I will start my own. Except this wont really be a restoration as I do not have the money and my personal taste differs. I will document how my 1972 600 is brought back to lift after its been sitting in a ranch for over 15 years. I really tried to get out of the car scene but it was just too hard. After speak to some people through other forums, Matt Timon, Miles and others, I figure this would be a fun car to work on.

My friends helping me tow my two newly acquired N600s.

It wasnt too difficult for my friend to navigate through turns with two cars on one trailor but one mistake and Im pretty sure the trailor is going down the hill.

This was near the bottom of the hill but you can see how narrow the road was...and it was a two lane road!!!

My new project...

I did not have the time at all to work on both cars. I had to let this one go...

The two cylinder wonder...

Yea..i like pictures...

It took me four months but I got the car started. Its still not running yet but its almost there.....

awesome... this is matt timion by the way

I'm planning my engine swap sometime soon. I have a rebuilt engine in my garage. I need to get it done so I can get the car registered, as I think I'm overdue now.

Anyway, I would recommending stripping your parts car and keeping the parts somewhere. You never know when you will need a new hood, bumper, or windshield. It would be much cheaper than having a new windshield made for $400 plus shipping.

I live in the city with no garage...its hard to keep parts that large around. My car is currently at a friends house. I had to sell the other car but lucky it when to some fellow racers that I know will take good care of it.

Here is some work that was done. The rectifier was old and rusted out. The alternator power was blowing out my main fuse.

With some advise from others, which help me locate the problem, my buddy help me wire up some new diodes. Everything works great and its much cleaner now, plus it takes up less room.

Finding is the easy part, affording the parts on the other hand...

LOL...eBay is your friend. The parts are not crazy expensive but are a lot for what it is.

I thought I'll share more pics of items related to my car. I found a lizard in my engine bay a couple of months ago while i was working on the car and now I find some snake skin...

I took my off my carb and got lost on what to do...i never messed with a carb before. but what ever I did as I was playing with it, it helped my idle out. Car idles much better now.

My friend help me mount some tires and I was able to take my 600 for the first drive.

It was pretty scary as the car seems to lose power higher in the RPM range and the suspension just feels scary with all the bushings cracked...but it was sure fun. I was too nervous to even take it out of the neighborhood....

I was in the junkyard about 2 weeks ago and they had a 71 N600. It was in pretty bad condition, but the motor and interior were still intact. I took the valve cover and the seat belts out of it. I wanted to take the entire motor considering they would of only charged me like $80 for it...lol
I never seen one before, let alone in the junkyard at that. Its crazy how someone would just take it too the junkard.
It was the same color as your tan one.

I just thought this was cool...its pretty much all my electrical...which is for my accessories....

my daily beater in the back is about twice its size...literally if you include volume. This is when I got to drive the car for the first time...
