Default Question, Anyone with an 02-04 RSX-s DC Race Header need Esmm?

I got the DC race Header for my 03 type-s and I was curious about the recommendation of picking up the energy suspension motor mounts. Does it help? in the long run and short term?
or can I go without it for a few months?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Put them in as soon as possible, otherwise your header will crack. I put mine on at the same time so I can't tell you how long you are good for. But I have seen several cracked headers. The install isn't as bad as it may seem, I dropped the subframe a coule inches and bam, in they went. You will most likley need to get an alignment when you are done, so if you need to install spings/struts/coilovers, do it all at the same time.

Well you are half way there when you install the header. The ESMM are what 30$ and take maybe an hour more to install. It does help because it reduces engine movement which causes the header to crack. Your stock one has the springs around the screws and the new header. That flex pipe will take a beating if you do not put them in.

I say put them in and call it a day. If it is a DC sports header they will not cover it under warrenty if you do not have the ESMM.

esmm will save your flex pipe.

ESMM (Energy Suspension motor mounts) will also make your car vibrate at every stoplight. Gets kinda annoying, especially when you have the A/C on.

When under power it is fine, but the harmonics under 1000RPMs is really anoying.

But to answer the question--as everyone else has said--definitely install them if you put on a race header.

I already feel that with my ingalls torque damper, and its set on the softest setting. that is why im reluctant in getting the ESMM.

Do you need both? I'd almost get rid of the torque damper and use the ESMM's. Unless you drag race a lot or something, but the ESMMs will still help a lot with wheelhop.

I have both, the torque damper and the esmm's and my car vibrates like hell but its worth it for the stiffness...

So when getting a RH, definately get ESMM's. How hard of an install are they?

what the reason why you need an alignment for dropping the subframe a little and just inseting the esmm's??

they are not hard to install, just hard to get the motor mounts out since there is hardly any room to do anything where the mounts are located.

Definately get esmm. DCRH's are notorious for the flex pipe breaking as is

*I have an EP3* with a DCRH that didn't crack w/o ESMM for 6 months so you probably didn't damage your's. Now I have Innovative mounts and a torque dampener

(May sell torque dampener - PM if interested)
