by the way that exahust wheel looks,it needs a rebuild. that black color is a dead givaway from a oil leek

I'm sure it has never been used, most turbos come with oil and carbon build up on the exhaust wheel from the factory!

well it was never installed on his car. I remember when he first bought it. Had no leaks what so ever. It looked perfect and it doesnt even have any shaft play. I beat if you instal it that the oil passing trough the turbo it would tighten up the seals.Probably b/c its been sitting upright is the reason for it leaking.

Looks to me like there has been a good bit of compressor wheel to housing contact. Housing looks chewed up

The turbo has no shaft play. I checked it myself. The oil in the turbine houseing has to be from the turbo sitting upright for about a year. Its been sitting at his work since he started and its been a year now. I seen it when he first bought it. It had no oil
