Alright, question about the mac cinema displays. Is the 23 worth the extra $300? Other than the 3 inches and the HD, what is the difference? Anyone with experiences either way?
Muhammad (S): "Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises: The doors of goodness are many...enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one's legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one's arms--all of these are charity prescribed for you. Your smile for your brother is charity."

So I am having display issues. I have a 17" Sony LCD hooked up as an external display on my iBook but the color & everything is WAY off, the refresh sucks, and the side of the desktop wiggles for lack of a better term on the very far laft vertical edge of the display. No matter how I adjust it in the OS or display's menu I can't fix it. Any ideas? Maybe I should try a new adapter?

depends on what you're doing. 24" seemed huge coming from my 20" acd. I'd say expletive the Apple display and get a dell.. hell, if you're willing to pay full retail for an apple 23", spend a few more bucks and get a 30" dell..

Hidden file in osx..considering the context, it's pretty funny Go to the Finder's Go menu, and select Go to Folder. In the window that appears, type: /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/lib/python2.3/test/ and hit Go. In the window that opens, double-click on the audiotest.au file and voilą!

Hey I was looking into new laptops and I'm really considering buying a apple. It'll mostly be used for music, pictures, photo editing(minor), and pretty much surfing the net. I'm in sort of a debate if I should switch over from a pc and if so just to get a regular macbook or pro? any advice? thanx in advance!

If you just want the basic stuff, a standard MacBook would be great. If you are a fan of computers & like to have the nicest & may potentially have a need for something faster you can't go wrong with the Pro. Personally, I'd go with the Pro but you really can't go wrong either way. And keep in mind that OS X is fantabulous, and on a Mac you can run Windows as well should you choose, but once most people get used to OS X they don't ever want to go back to Windows, that's my experience at least.

Thanx for the info. I was sort of leaning over towards the pro would it be more beneficial to bite the bullet and go for the 2.33ghz compaired to the 2.15ghz for the 15in?
