my girl's MDX leaks in that same spot. i'm not sure of the exact name of them, but the water channels that run from the windshield to behind the fender area can get clogged( just from what i'm told)so maybe that applies to other Honda/Acura's. Also, Acura told her it was probably her sunroof but they said they didn't fix things like that(Whether or not they even checked it). I'd check the both of them and if thats not it then check your seals on your door and panel.

besides the door seals, door panels, sunroof, and water ducts, i'd check to see if the windshield is sealed all the way around. i've seen some pretty bad windshield jobs ( i've replaced mine twice) and last time the place that did it did a really sloppy job. it didn't leak but it probably should have...oh and check under and behind your dashboard. if u feel moisture behind your dash than chances are your windshield could be the problem.

a buddy of mine had the same problem it may be a leak in your raditor line the third raditor line extending to the firewall you can bypass it only thing you lose is hot air flowing through your car when its cold

i did bypass the heater core hose b/c the heater core went bad and i didnt want a puddle of antifreeze in the car. ya the seals around the windshield look like it would time to replace. im gonna have to check all the spots u guys told me and hopefully i can find and fix the problem. ill do that after i get off work tonight

Mine leaks in the exact spot you describe. If you pour water down the windshield you can see water running down behind the ECU. On mine the water is somehow finding its way in through the frame rails. The only way I know of to fix it is to seal up the frame rails with some expanding foam. Otherwise, there it's impossible to get access to where the water is coming in.

Check the liquid to make sure its water. Get a little on your finger and taste it, it won't hurt you. If its sweet its not water and antifreeze, therefore start checking hoses as the heater core rarely goes bad.

If its water a common but unknowen problem is a stupid 25cent gromet that always goes bad. People will run around trying to find the problem but this is mostly the cause. Remove you wiper arms, and the plastic piece underneath. Where the clips go there is a small gromet that looks like a baby condom, literally less than an inch. Pull them out and inspect it an gauranteed they are leaking, replace them and use a little silicone and gaurantee it won't leak water anymore.

That's only on G2 Integras, G3's don't have anything like that so unfortunately the fix is not as easy, if it's a leak like mine.

Back when I was trying to fix my water leaks, I took my ECU bracket off and found it like this:

Mine still leaks, but I don't worry about the ECU too much. The water just runs down the side and down onto the floor under the carpet, and I keep a couple of towels under the carpet and change them out every so often. It's done the trick for over a year now because I'm too lazy to pull the fender off and inject that expanding foam up inside the frame rails. Maybe one day I'll get to it.

ya that what mine looks like. i was lookin around and i noticed on the passenger side behind the fender where the rubber casin is for the wires i noticed that there was added wire running throug there. it appears the previous owner had re ran the speaker wires on that side and he had made a hole in that rubber piece to bring the wire in side the car. could that be the reason its leakin?

I don't believe so. Normally when water runs down the windshield, it runs down either side below the cowl trim, and down behind the fenders, to empty out down by the front mudguards. Once it gets under the cowl trim, it runs out through this hole:

Then it's supposed to come out at the top arrow, and drip down behind the front wheel fender liners (bottom arrow is where the front sunroof tubes drain out):

I noticed water running down the side behind the ECU bracket (top arrow), sitting on this little ledge (bottom arrow) then spilling onto the floor below the carpet:

So I pulled the whole dashboard out and found the water coming in this area:

After pulling out the A/C blower motor, I found this hole in the structural seam sealant, which I filled with silicone, topped that with JB Weld, then topped that with more silicone:

Well that sealed up that hole, but then water still found its way in through the hole in the side where the wire harness comes through. There's really no way to seal that up, I don't think, so the only thing I can think of is that the water is finding its way INSIDE the frame rail, then running down and into the car. And the only fix I can think of for that, without taking a blowtorch and cutting the frame rails apart is to just fill the frame rail with expanding foam sealant. I just haven't gotten around to doing it on my car yet.

I've been having the same problem on my '96 Integra with rain dripping into the passenger footwell. By running a hose with the nozzle set to a narrow, slow stream around the windshield, firewall, door frame and roof, finally discovered that the water was entering from the point on the roof where the rain groove goes under the windshield molding down toward the A-pillar. I just sealed the joint with silicone and will wait for the next rain to find out if it worked. I could retest with the hose, but at the moment the floormat is still drying on the line, and I've got all the windows open for the carpeting to air out.

the only spot mine used to leak was the trunk. then i figured out that the taillights were somehow leaking through so i got a set of 98-01 tails. killed 2 birds with one stone. water damage is a pain in the ***. i hoped my earlier info helped. good luck.

im convinced that the water is coming in around the air inlet where the seems are, from what i saw with the fender off it doesnt make sense that that much water is getting in just by spalshing up against the side from the drain
