Best TSX Year 2004? Or is that BS?« » Reply  Edit

I read bits and pieces here and there about the most desirable year of TSX being the 2004. Is that b/k it doesn't have drive-by-wire or something about the way the car handles / engine parameters are setup?

The best one is 06 so far. How can anyone discount the engine upgrades and all the goodies added throughout the years.

I've been looking into this as well as a TL may be too much. I've read a few unflattering reviews about the TSX though. So I'm not sure if its worth it, look up some reviews.

Didn't save $500, but did save $415 on a 95 civic and a 02 Cadillac full coverage. Great deal.

04 all the way! im a bit bias becuase i have one in the driveway but the lip kit looks the best on the 04, its the cheapest and cleanest looking year for my taste. ive heard good things about the Hondata on the 04 sooooo i will always say PWP 04!!

have u looked at carmax? that is where my girl got hers and it is perfect! i would low ball like 21k but it also depends on how good of shape the car really is. like is the leather good, carpet, dash you know there is other stuff to the price than just the milleage. i would check out carmax.com and even look around autotrader.com. GL!

04 has the most 'problems.'

06 is probably the best. they changed the diameters of the intake/exhaust for better airflow. you can reflash the ecu (both AT and MT). it doesn't have the first year bugs.

only issues ive had are the interior lights, the button that makes them turn on and off wore out. another reaccuring issue is on gauge cluster, the info area between the rpm guage and the mph guage flickers on and off every now and then. its no big deal because the dealership just resets it everytime i get my oil changed and it fixes it for a little while. i still think the 04 is better. you can find them at a great price and by doing that u are left with more money to improve what u dont like.

i agree with waiting a couple of years so they can get the bugs worked out. drive by wire sucks but i could never bring myself to buy a new car off the lot. thats why i dont have a S2K C/R yet waitin a couple of years!

04 100% why buy a newer model?? you are just paying more for the same shit... and the 06+ models are more rounder with the 1 piece bumper and skirt and look more girly, where as the 04/05, you have the lip kit and it looks more manly! the 06+ models have 5 more HP and 2 ft/lbs less torque, wow big deal but why pay more for the same ish?? its like buying a 94 Integra and a 2001 Integra, same shit, different year

It's really depends on what body style and/or electronic upgrades you like.

04/05 - Front has no integrated foglights. Clear headlight lens. Straight spoke rims.

05 - XM standard. Heated side mirrors. Power passenger seat.

06 and up - Integrated fog lights. Bluetooth. Memory seats. Different instrument panel. Rounded/curved spoke rims. Engine changed a little. Fresnel headlight lenses.

Essentially, they are all the same car. Just a few tweaks here and there. Even the 09 is not going to change much from the current configuration. Just some slight upgrades, but really the same car.
