eg half size radiator into civic
I was wondering if you guys have any pics of how you installed yours or any writeups would be appreciated

I would suggest looking into a Dodge Neon radiator. It must be the non-A/C version from a 95-99. IMO, this works out so much better than an EG radiator since it is shorter and clears the hood. It also comes very close to mounting in the stock location (corner mount bracket). Only thing you will need is an inline filler neck and a new radiator cap, since the Neon radiator has no filler on it. This is one of the best purchases I've made, it frees up a lot of space, especially in a cramped EF engine bay with a B-series and a turbo set-up.

lol last owner of my car cut the radiator support out... 0.o and sat it down there... its held up by 1 zip tie and the hoses (how he riged it.. i just pushed it against hte block it wrks : P

You can also use a replacement front crossmember from Innovative Mounts. This will alllow you to use 92-00 radiator. I plan to purchase one soon, so I can add a front motor mount for my b16. This will lessen the movement of my motor. You can also add bushings to transform this crossmember into a traction control kit. Check em out at http://www.innovativemounts.com

does that xmember allow 92+ rad to clear hood , angled straight? what is it... considering one. just for clearance issues. plan on boosting a b series and i would like more downpipe space my 2.5 i had to crush to fit last time

Hey a little tip for if you buy the innovative front crossmember, I own one with the tranny mount, and I gues it only works if you ahve Innovative mounts ni the first place. Because I have avid mounts and the front tranny mount wont line up OR work. So it was useless to me. Just letting ya know before u buy.,

thanks for the info. right now i have the HCP mounts. I will check with innovative if this will work with it, changing motor mounts is a pain in the ***. As for the eg rad, innovative also sells the top rad mount. eg rad drops into the crossmember and it should clear the hood without any problem.

I'm planning on buying the Innovative Mounts cross member so I can use a 92-00 half radiator. This is sort of OT, but where's the best place to get an aluminum half rad (fluidine, koyo, etc.) ? I can only seem to find the full size.

ill post a pic of mine soon. basically what we did is connected the radiator to the hoses and sat it in then we bent that bottom lip up(on the frame) and cut off the stock rad. mounts. So this made it sit lower. As for the hood we notched it out and made our own brackets for the rad to hold and sit in. About 3 hrs of work.
But buying a some traction bars that bolt in saves you so much more time and looks alot better.

The eg radiator is fine, Ive got one in my crx, fit in easy, connected hoses, made a metal bracket from the top to a bolt on the slam panel and angled the radiator back a little bit so it clears the hood. As I mentioned Ive only got one bracket and along with the hoses its held in there fine.

Well if the EG radiator turns out to be a pain, then you can try and sell it and get the Neon radiator. I have custom solid mounts that place the engine a bit more forward than usual mount kits. So as is, I already have space issues, but with the Neon radiator, it seems like I have more room now than before with an EG style radiator. I have an InlinePro manifold with a GT40 turbo and a 3" downpipe, no space issues at all. Good luck with your set up.

JK Crosmember PCM EG half rad and 12" slim fan
Had to fab an upper mount but that was easy it has no clearance issues it does however sid the rad back a little further but there is still a decent amount of space and plenty of room for a turbo and DP

The Neon radiator works quite well. I also have a Meziere electric water pump as well, so that helps cool the engine quickly too. Granted my CRX is a track only car, but when it was on the dyno, we did numerous back to back pulls and the water temp stayed pretty stable around 190 or so.

great to hear, i am thinking about this rad, but i dont want to buy/install it only to find it doesnt have the cooling capacity for daily driven turbo duties

You better make sure that temp gauge works.

Are you going to water cool you turbo too? If so then i wouldn't go with a smaller rad....maybe get a low temp thermo too...If you aren't going to water cool it then I think the neon rad would be fine, i just don't think honda designed the cooling system to handle a turbo and it may acctually just work as a coolant heater, if you run a smaller rad maybe the 2 fan would work
