My new 2.4L COMP 4 motor w/dyno results
this shows what the car put down after tunning: 276whp/206wtq
N/A 2.4L h series specs:
cp pistons 14:1
carrillo rods
oem bearings/oil pump
ported cylinder head
skunk stg.2 cams
euro r intake
oem stock tb
hytech exhaust
rc 550 injectors
oem ignition system
fluidampr pulley
motor was tunned on a dynojet using hondata s200 on vp ms109 unleaded fuel. tunning was kept fairly conservative,A/F @ wot was kept close to high 12s, timing is @ 26.5 deg., no cam gear adjustments were made.
we only made about 8 full wot pulls before calling it a day, ran into a problem i thought was fixed since last season. there seems to be a hairline crack somewhere in the cylinder head. after the car reached operating temp. i noticed a little cream under the oil cap, but didnt show up on the dipstick until the end of the session. had the same problem last season which i thought was coming from somewhere inside the block, now having a known good and freshly sleeved block im going to guess the crack is somewhere in the head and opens up at operating temp. taking a while to run down into the pan. im going to keep an eye out for another cylinder head, but at this point my plan is to run what i have, keeping the oil changed every few passes or so. the problem i had last season doing this was because of the oil being milky, the motor would fall out of vtec for a split second each pass costing me e.t. we eliminated the press. switch, so hopefully it will stay in vtec this time.
my plans for this season are to fix the water leak, and test some diff. intake manifols and larger tbs. i know what i have now arent nearly large enough for the size of the motor, but do seem to be making good power. any suggestions, please let me know, thanks. looking forward to seeing everyone at the track this season!

thats awesome power man...espescially considering the relative mildness of the cams, and the euro r im and stock tb...i can see 300whp with itbs and bigger cams....
do you mind sharing flow #s/charts on the head?? who did the work?
