I remeber reading this thread a few weeks ago and becoming highly intrigued, but I must have forgotten about it and stopped reading. I found it again today and can't believe the progress. This is fcuking awesome. The amount of work and knowledge going into this is incredible. I'm sure you're having a blast and keep up the good work man.

ok, I am getting tired of seeing this.............time to rant

I am tired of watching people WASTE bandwidth by posting in a thread just so it can be in their watched topics list. Are you people freaking blind? Do you not see the SUBSCRIBE link in the top right hand section of your screen, or are you entirely too ignorant to read? I say this becasue, every time you post something up on this board it COSTS MONEY!!!! Someone has to pay for hosting/server fees in order to keep this website alive. I cannot understand why people post up like five words in a horrid attempt to make a sentence or comment then like two lines below the write "subscribing" .........just hit the freaking subscribe button and let the hosting program do the work for you and STOP WASTING MONEY!!!

Calm down...seriously. If anything you should bitch at the people in the Classifieds forum who bump their own topics over two pages long. You're guilty of that yourself.

I'd assume that he'd do this. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most sanctioning bodies require some sort of seperation between the drivers compartment and gas tank?

As far as getting air in there, I still say replace the rear side windows with Lexan pieces with NACA ducts in them. Its certainly more aerodynamic than a blingin' roof scoop from Paul Walker.

and any sponsors that advertise here

You will have to do a complete firewall, simply because of exhaust fumes re-entering the cabin. My del Sol was a severely affected candidate of this. Some under-baffling may have helped keep the exhaust fumes behind the rear bumper, but I just concentrated on sealing the firewall as best as possible.

How is the progress going? I can't wait to see the finished product, this really has inspired me to go out and plan my own projects.

I think it'll be just as easy as any other swap. he has the hatch off so it'll be more room up top. i cant wait to see this thing in action. i wonder if it'll be like the drifting integra i've seen.

The way the del Sol was designed, I just have to remove the intake manifold, and it drops right out, no problems.
As for drifting, the del Sol was VERY twitchy. Ie, if you lost the ass end, its gone until youre done doing your 1080 w/6 cars hot behind you. Maybe its because this is the first RWD car Ive driven? Probably

it rips "donuts" just fine after some suspension tweaking. Because after all, thats what I built it for, doing donuts.
