Default Solo S2 or Valentine 1?

Which do you guys prefer? I've heard that the S2 is pretty good. But from personal experience which do you prefer? I live in California btw so I don't have to hide the detector. I'm looking for excellent sensivity.

I have an S2 and am very happy with it. I think its going to be your personal choice on which to get. I dont think that there is a big difference between them. i use to have the 7500 b4 i got the S2. The 7500 worked great as well so i decided to step up to the s2 insted of going to valentine. the s2 is durable. I have dropped it acouple times in my car and never had an probs. it also has no cord, so the windshield is clear. The only thing bad about the S2 is that during the day the display is not very bright. good luck

I've heard good things about the Valentine V1. do a search and you'll find out what others think.

-aoib0t, who knows how to search

V1 is great. I love it. You don't realize how important the directional arrows are, until you use the V1

s2 does not compare to the v1. i think the s2 is a pain in the ass because it eats batteries like crazy

I got the passport 8500 (same as s2, except its not wireless?). I say its decent around my area, i live in a city with a lot of hills and trees so the range on it, isn't too great.. but barely enough to save your ass. Mine also detects POP mode too, make sure you get the new X50 model.

ive got the passport 8500 too. Its great where I live(houston, tx) and I love it, I always get such an early warning about cops. but ive always heard great things about the V1.. get whichever you think youll like more.. If you want the directional arrows, get the V1, if not, then its probly a toss up..

As far as the quality of detecting and such I think they are pretty close. I went with the V1 so when it does go off I dont have to look around for the cop and I can keep my eyes on the road.

Valentine 1 all the way. There's a reason why those that can afford anyting choose that.
