Whoa, hey!
Ya.. TurboEDIT, it's neato. Heh.. Like Gettodyne? Ya.. but I think we've moved on to the next level, and xtensive is going to take a break from the ROM Editing scene. Him and I have shared some ideas and long discussions. He's great! TurboEDIT boasts lots of features for the user to help them get the best from thier tune. Like XDEep said, I've tried ot make things as easy to understand as possible so people don't start blowing up thier cars. Oh well.. Hope you all enjoy it. Latest verison (at time of this post) is 1.27.. which now supports PR3 and PW0 ROMs for the DOHC VTec boys.. Anyway, if you have questions, comments, found a bugs, whatever.. sign up for the TurboEDIT Mailing List at http://www.TurboEDIT.org and send an e-mail to support@turboedit.org. Your mail will be promptly addressed my mailing list members!

i currently use turboedit... Excellent software for running lower boost levels (10psi) hopefully one day it can grow and support 3bar map sensors and become superb and still remain free

deffinately great information for you OBD0 folks, I've been doing a lot of work with the P28, but the PM6 ECU is also a really neat one to work with.
Have fun! - Nathan

I'm looking into turbo'ing sometime soon and I wet myself when I saw this program. I'd been worrying about management and this seems to solve a lot of my problems. still need to read up a lot on setting up the whole management sytems and whatnot. but this program is definitely cool.

Grr...has this been like a Honda-tech secret or something? The first time I've heard of any of this from this post.
So now where to get the additional components to hook up a rice boy laptop to my ecu? Sarcastic, but serious at the same time. Now to learn about this new program... |

I asked the same thing. I looked a little deeper into the pgmfi site... go into their "Wiki" program, and look up data logging. you can find the pinouts for the spare comms port on the PM6 there. also, tehy tell you what chip you need to translate the TTL language to RS-232.
STILL, it'd be cool if there was a step-by-step writeup for those of us that are more timid and lack the confidence to do any ****ing thing without step-by-step instructions no matter how well the concept is understood. people like me :D . |

it would be really nice if someone could do a how-to on this
i have a dohc zc ran with a pm6 ecu and id love to get this going, it would save lots of money and be a great tool what is needed to do this, i downloaded the turboedit v.1.2.9 but i have no idea how to set up a base for my pm6 i plan on running boost on my car and was wondering how much boost this can support i planned on doing pistons/rods and running dsm 450's and run 8 pounds stock and make a map for 12 or maybe a bit more for the track is there any dyno's that would understand how to use this program? any answers are appreciated

Thank you VERY much for that linky.
I nominate this thread for a sticky. there is an unparalleled amount of useful information, and links to even more useful information. this is a great resource for any tuner. |
