Very good writeup, a great addition to the H-T archives...
One problem though.. You typed wastegate instead of blowoff valve in section 7 ************************************************** *************** VII Blow off Valve 1) The Wastegate is attached to the upper charge pipe with a snap ring tool provided to install the HKS Sequential blow off valve. ************************************************** *************** Good post

Great write up. Probably one of the best installation guides ive seen yet.
In fact its so good i've decided to take an hour and redo the html and compile it as an ebook. I will post the link to the ebook on my server where it will be downloadable from now on. Just let me get the thing finished and i will post the link. Great job! OKAY here is the link to the ebook. By the way im not profiting on this or anything i just dont want this thread to disappear its tooooo useful. downloadable in exe format. http://www.jmaxcorp.com/russ/acura/turbo Sorry the link went down. i changed sites. should work now. The specs for turbo sizes were adressed a long time ago by Ben @ import parts in this thread....
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=64079 thanks ben... You could have got a different turbo however... the chart shows the typical turbo included for each car. |

hey i was just curious how do i know what compressor surge sounds like? i can hear my BOV just fine even though i have my BOV teed off a 5 way tee from my FPR. i mean when i let off the gas i cna hear the BOV depending on high or low boost make a loud woosh sound or a small fluttering sound under low boost. would compressor surge sound anything like the fluttering? just want to make sure im not damaging my turbo.

You need to Tee the BOV from the brake booster line or directly to the Intake manifold through the PCV connection... a 5 way tee at the fpr will be way to restrictive and not be a good source of vacuum
