Default Resistor box wiring....

Ok i've searched on how to wire the resistor box to an OBD1 and i've seen a couple of different ways to go about it...i went ahead and followed this diagram http://www.hondata.com/techinjectorwiring.html due to its simplicity... my question is, is this picture correct? the red dots indicate which wires i must cut, connect to the black wires on the resistor box, right?

I cut those wires and connected the end FROM the injectors to the black wires...and the other end was connected all together and connected to the red wire on the resistor box...can someone tell me if i did this correct? TIA hopefully boosting REAL soon...

COOLIO! thanks man

another question....if you want to run the "hack", do you set the "hack" up first before initial turbo installation? or do you do it after you have the turbo installed? TIA for the QUICK reply

Sorry, I dont hack anything. I only use real standalones.
But the "hack" doesnt know if your turbo or not. You will need the hack for the injectors....so when you do them you will have to setup the afc. Then you adjust properly for your turbo needs.

Goodness...all these diagrams on Apex-i's web site is killin me...i dont know which one to use...does anyone have an ECU pin out diagram for a P28? I got the safc wires labeled, but dont know which wire to connect them onto the ECU...read almost all the search threads and they all point to the website...anyone? TIA

hmmm, wiring in the resistor pack seriously isnt that complicated, all ur doing is putting a resistance in the line....notice on the plug that they all go into....put out the stopper...u notice how the wires are ALL BRIDGED together....meaning, u cant screw up cuz they all ground/short eachother out, - cut that harness, pick 4 - attach them to the 4 blacks, and grab the other 3 and wire them in straight to the red...and ur done.

yeah i'm done with the wiring on the resistor box...the next thing is the apex-i safc...i'm using the diagram on the web site but its confusing the hell out of me... the pin location they tell you, i cant seem to find...like they say that the RPM signal is on the 8th pin on the top section...but when i trace my wires, there isnt a wire their...the top section skips a space each time...anyone have pics of their install?

please double check your connections using a multimeter because the diagram provided by hondata was NOT the same for our situation using a 92-95 si harness. our plug had the four BOTTOM wires connected to the injectors and the TOP four were from a power source. the bottom four were spliced and the top 4 combined and used as a 12v source for the resistor box

Forreal? So the wires on the bottom of this harness go to the injectors on 92-95 civic ex/si's? fawking shiet!...can anyone else confirm this?

Go buy and a cheap multimeter for under 10 dollars, then use the continuity tester to make sure that the 4 wires you cut go to injector clips. There are other things that are powered off that clip like the fuel pump and ecu I believe. I would hate to burn out my ecu just because I installed the resistor on the wrong wire. I personally never trust diagrams 100% becuase I have seen first hand little diffences in wiring that could cause big problems if they were not caught.

I am curious to find out which ones are for the injectors? Did you try with a multimeter?

Pick 4? Its a little involved then just arbitrarily picking 4...also, 3? then what about the 1 left over?

Also, the wiring diagram posted above is wrong. The top box should read "12V power source" not "from ECU...its a little confusing that way.

The pin locations are correct. The only thing that needs clarification is that only 1 of the wire "studs" from the plug should be connected to the red wire...the other 3 should be taped.

Well, I thought I would muddy the water a little bit. I just did a continuity test to find the injector wires (I have a 92 Civic Si) to install my RC's. I was just going to follow Hondata's site but decided to test the continuity on my own first. Boy, am I glad I did. Below is a pic of the injector pins that came up for me. They are circled in red.

My suggestion is just what someone said earlier in this post, CHECK FOR YOURSELF!!!

is that the harness with just a plug stuck in it? ive heard you can just plug the resistor box harness to that one, any truth to that?

EDIT:i guess you cant plug a 6 pin male into an 8 pin female.
