Hi All
I have an electronic issue such that when I remove the backup fuse and ECU fuse, wait > 10 seconds, then replace, my car runs fine. However, when i shut it off and restart, it is difficult to start and runs very poorly...after a few minutes of rough running, very high rpm is required to maintain any engine power....then the car will die and not restart. Repeating the process of pulling the fuse (or disconnecting negative from battery) and replacing yields an easy start and good running. I haven't tried to run for more than a few minutes in this condition. I need help on what to check? thx

I have new spark plugs and wires, a new fuel filter, and fuel pump seems to work ok. My CEL is on and I am trying to decipher the code(s) now.

Click on the CEL link in my signature. It will bring you to the CEL sticky, where you will learn how easy it is to pull the CEL codes at home. To get the codes, avoid resetting the ECU, run the engine until the CEL lights, then pull the code(s).
