Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
I'm gonna keep the spoiler. It really makes the back end look nice plus it'll put some force on the backend at high speeds. I try to post as many pics as I can, I have a lot still to post. Its just a pain in the *** to take pics while I'm workin. Bodywork and metal fabs dirty work. I will take it to as many meets as I can. I'm totally down to travel with the car, and in fact, that's the biggest reason I'm building this car. Mostly just as a promotion for my shop. All the input and compliments are huge, thanks guys. I have a new tech starting tomorrow that's will free up some of my time to really get cracking on my car. I am 75% done the 68 mustang road race car I have been building so the stars are just about aligned. I'm seriously hoping to have the crx ready for paint in2 weeks. All that's left is 2 rocker panels and the front bumper is half way done. Each part I've made or modified has taken a lot of time. I'm going to hold off on doing the awd setup until the fall so I can actually drive it this summer. I am pushing to get a feature in honda-tuning magazine and some others. I feel that its completely worthy of that kind of attention but we'll see.

Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
Is there another forum or place I should have this posted? I'd like to get this build more exposure to the public, beyond just crx enthusiasts. Any input would be appreciated. I have so much invested into this build, that I just want to try to make it more visible, especiallly on honda-tech. I see threads like which muffler should I run on my stock hf and it has like a million views haha. I don't get it

Its a tpo plastic repair epoxy from 3m. Its gets very hard but still stays slightly flexible. I use it after I weld the plastic together and overtop of a aluminum mesh screen reinforcement. If you use it, make sure you add screen and let it sit for a few days before you try to sand it. They say its ok to sand in 24 hours but I recomend longer to be safe. 3m 08235

I'm not setting it up for any certain drag or road race combo. Its a street car, but it'll perform awesomely at either track. I'm thinking low 11's in the 1/4mile, maybe 10's after the awd is done. I am more into highway driving.

This is cool, lots of positive feedback. The wheel tubs in the bay came out great. You can barely tell we modified them and I took another 3" out of them for clearance. We are on schedule for paint next week. Thanks again for the compliments on the build. I have a few other builds going on that are non honda related but still cool. So feel free to check them out on my facebook. AutoMoto Specialists

Ok, after tons of trial and error work, fitting up various different bumper covers. I've found the one. 2010 civic coupe bumper. Its on, welded and fused. Looks awesome, and fits perfectly. It gave the car a very new-model look. Ill post pics when I can, if you wanna check it out now then go to my facebook page. I posted them on the a few min ago. AutoMoto Specialists

I'm going to put the factory grille in the bumper too. It'll hide some of that intercooler. Also goin to install the oem foglight kir into it from the '10 civic. I'm happy with my choice of bumper.

MAD SKILLS!!! Some one should take this car, make a mold of it before you paint it and start making body kits out of it!!! I bet some SCCA folks & FNF wannabe's would buy that faster then McD's could print a check... LOL I love everything about this car!!!!!! Great Job man!!!!!

Thanks man. I actually thought about making the mold for it. I just can't get past the fact of using fiberglass though. Fiberglass is just such junk. Who knows though, maybe ill just start selling handmade kits. Like how those guys starting taking peoples mustangs and making them into the elenor car. Lol
