Wheel stud stripped....is that BIG deal??
hey I got 2 wehll studs stripped. one if front and one in back. This is on my 95 eg. Is that a big deal that I drive like that? i dont race 24/7 or drift or hard corners so much, just dd car.
Can I fix it without changing the studs?

you have to change the studs eventually in order to fix the problem.
if you have 3 more good studs torqued properly on those wheels i think you'll be fine but you should change it as soon as you get a chance.

You should change the studs as soon as possible. If you need to drive like that for a day or a week just to get around before you or your mechanic can get to it, okay, but don't keep putting it off. It's a safety issue and driving around with only three lug nuts holding on your wheel is a big risk (even more so with two of them that way).

You should change the studs as soon as possible. If you need to drive like that for a day or a week just to get around before you or your mechanic can get to it, okay, but don't keep putting it off. It's a safety issue and driving around with only three lug nuts holding on your wheel is a big risk (even more so with two of them that way).
btw how hard is it to change the wheel studs? can I do it myself? I cant just clean up the threads with the special thread maker/fixer thing?

If you continue to drive on them and a wheel comes off, you'll be dealing with far worse problems and you're going to feel really, really stupid for doing so.
As noted above, it's not that difficult to replace the studs, and they're not all that expensive. If you do your own work, you already have a service manual (or, at least, you should; you can get one here).
Just do it. This is a no-brainer.

I did some research how to change it myself. I just dont understand one thing why they grind down one side flat. Is that so the head wont be in the way so much?

you may need to grind down the stud destined for the front hub if you're not removing the hub flange from the knuckle/bearing. it is necessary to obtain the necessary clearance to slide the stud through the hole, since the hub flange/knuckle relationship will prevent the stud from going in straight. The right way involves removing the hub flange, which will require you to separate the bearing outer race, which increases the amount of work exponentially. with the stud head ground down, you should be able to slide it through at an angle.
the rear is 10x easier. the rear hub unbolts from the trailing arm spindle. from there it's like pie.
careful when hammering on the front hub. it's not all that difficult to damage a wheel bearing.
