Default Project Si

My last two builds werent exactly good starting points. The bodys were rough and it took alot of time and money to get them to where i wanted them. This time i wanted a good startingn point. I decided on an EPB Si this time around. I purchased one new in 00 and wish i never would have sold it. It was my first and only brand new car and it was the car that got me into hondas. After almost 8 years of kicking myself in the *** i finally sold my built 220whp b20vtec coupe and would search the forums for a nice clean epb si on a daily basis. Finally i found and purchased a super clean and mostly stock 99 epb si. The car has 119k on it and has only had two other previous owners. Both took very good care of the car. Only mods are Apexi N1 full coilovers, and eddelbrock intake manifold. I got a killer deal on the car because it has a dead cylender.( previously turbod) But hey id rather have to swap a motor than replace quarter pannels and have a car re painted.
I flew a friend out to nashville to pick the car up for me. The car made a 11 hour dirive on 3 cylenders! If that dosent say something about honda reliability i dont know what does!
First thing i did before i even had the car in pa was order an apexi ws2 exhaust, skunk2 front and rear camber kits and a skunk2 shifter and ****. I had the parts at my house before the car! Soon as i got the car i pulled the stupid stock wing off! I then installed NRG hood dampers. I found a great deal on an ap1 steering wheel and swaped that rite away, Then i purchased my old S2000 seats back from my b20 coupe. A friend of mine wanted the seats and conviently after i fronted the money for him and drove to jersey to pick them up he didnt want them anymore.. So i kept them and installed them into the Si. Thankfully i didnt have to swap complete seat pans like i did when i installed them into my 93 coupe, i only had to swap the inner seat rails from the stock Si seats and they fit in perfect! Later a good friend of mine called me with a deal i couldnt refuse on an Ap1 cluster with pig tails and converter boxes. I took the cluster to work with me that next day and with the help of honda tech got the wiring all figured out. I didnt want to just install the cluster and trim it off in carbon fiber, my goal with this car is to mod it but make everything look OEM. So i decided to make a custom bezel for the cluster. using the factory bezel, mar glass, bondo, LOTS AND LOTS of sanding some more bondo and even more sanding i think i achieved my goal. The car is still fairly new to me and i have a lot of plans for it. Just want to get the little stuff out of the way while im finishing up my db8. And before i decide what im doing with the engine. Here are the pics of the progress, i will try and update as often as i can!

More pics! I will try and get better pics of the interior up in the next few days. I plan on having the rear seat, arm rest cover and door pannel inserts re wrapped to match the s2000 Seats. Exterior mods will be subtle,i plan on loweing the car more and i will probably keep it on stock wheels. I really want to turbo this car so we will see what happens! Maybe someone will make me an offer on my db8 and ill do a sick turbo build on the si?? who knows! Buy stay tuned!

Thanks guys! There are a few other people on here that did similar bezels. I think this is the rite way to do this cluster swap! I'm very happy with how it came out.

No IMW did not do the cluster, I did the cluster myself. ive been doing car audio for almost 10 years now and have fiberglassed speaker boxes, dash kits and speaker pods. So im pretty familiar with this type of work. It wasnt hard to do, it was just very time consuming. I stumbled across d robs thread while I was looking for wiring information. he did a very nice job on his!

Thanks..
Im tryin! even tho i sold my coupe a few months ago i was thinking about doing a build thread on that because it came out pretty well.. This Si is going to be a slow build and be done rite!
Goal is 400+ hp on pump gas with ac and power steering!
full shaved and tucked bay as well, im just not sure how to hide the vaccume lines and all the other bs and still have it look good.. also trying to figure out what to do about the ac lines to clean it up.
