Skunk 2 arms any better than anything thing else on the market?
I was looking at Function 7's arms and also found this, looks interesting..
http://www.function-7.com/products/rsxrb
but im guessing it would run a pretty penny as well (even just for the arms) as apposed to skunk 2 which are pretty cheap for lca

These Skunk arms seem to be one of the best designed suspension products they make, and much better than everything but the F7's. The S2's also have an advantage over the F7's in that they use that steel mounting plate to evenly distribute load instead of just with the heads of the bolts on aluminum.
Yeah Ive never been a supporter of Skunk2 but you cant deny a good product when you see one ya know? This is def the only skunk2 part going on my car lol.

Interesting point about those steel plates on the S2 LCA's. Looks like a nice part, except for those bushings. I PM'd Function7 to see if they have considered anything like that, since I know they do all kinds of stress modeling and testing as part of their R&D when designing parts.

I just wanted to comment on Function7 LCA's (and other parts) versus others. E I know you said you like the looks of the Skunk2 arms better, and that's cool. However I asked Function7 about their design with the steel plate vs. F7's design with only the 3 bolts holding it on.
Anyway, not knocking you choice at all. You said you like the appearance of the S2 arms better and I can understand that. Not everyone likes the "truss" look of the F7 arms. And since you said you're going to replace the bushings anyway with delrin units, there should be no problems there. The steel plate on the S2 arms is a good design choice, I think, based on the materials used, but since F7 arms are designed differently and with different materials, a similar plate under the bolts is not needed.

We supply replacement bolts to accomodate for the thicker arms as a result. The wrought aluminum is significantly less prone to cracking and allows us to save overall weight.
We model everything we make extensively (or obsessively), then run test on the cars for extended/accelerated testing. The parts come off and go through non-destructive testing (X-ray, ultrasound) to identify any design issues we've missed, so we're aware of any potential issues that may arise and revise the design. Then, we repeat the testing process over and over until we're completely happy before OK'ing the products for final release to the public.

Like you said though the S2's will be fine for me, and the design is definitely one of the better of whats available. Appearance was a big factor for me and thats why I chose them. JHP was also running a nice deal so I got them on the cheap

Just the stock k20A3 for now. I have a DC5 engine tucked away but it's going to get some work done over the next year or so before it goes in

So I should have some badass updates on monday. All the peices are finally coming together now. The delrin bushings were finished yesterday, and the hardware is on its way back from the plater. Should also be getting my shocks back in a week or so

Yup, when I did my trailing arms I sandblasted some of the loose nasty **** off of them like around the joints and stuff. It sticks great to anything with bite like sandblasted or rusty surfaces.

Was happy to see my hardware had arrived when I got to work today
Took some time to lay it all out and make sure it was all there, plus it was a baller photo op
Remember this? So much more legit now with some cadmium plating
.
.
Then after work I got the rear calipers assembled - Threw on the new oem boots and greased the slides with some supplied niglube
.
.
Then finished them up at home

Thanks guys! I sent them down to a guy in florida that runs a race team that we work with when we do events down south. He gets stuff plated for his cars so he hooked it up.
We also sent down ALL the hardware for our newest Miata build at work
Those springs are for the donut flanges on the exhaust.
