Default Pics of my U.K Spec 5th Gen Accord

Thought I would start a new thread about my 5th gen U.K Accord.

A few stats (stock):

Engine - F18A3- 118bhp 131lb/ft. 1850cc non-VTEC SOHC 16v injection
Rev-limiter - 7210rpm
Chassis - CE7 code
Brakes - Disks all round non-ABS
Suspension - Multi-link mcpherson strut, anti-roll bars front and rear.
0-60 - 10.5secs
max speed- 121mph.

First car bought hence the 1.8 engine for lower insurance. Entry level Accord but still a very capable car.

I have done a few mods to the car, nothing major because parts are very rare for the European Accords had to improvise on some things.

Mods:

Engine - Advanced timing to 19 degrees, running 98RON fuel, Inlet and exhaust ports polished and gas flowed, Pipercross foam air filter on stock piping ( getting a custom box and pipe made).
Exhaust - Custom design in progress from Cat back, based on the Spoon design for the Civic with a few changes to fit Accord. 2.5" piping getting used.
Brakes - EBC Turbo Groove disks on the front with AP Lockheed pads, EBC solid disks on rears with Lucas pads.
Suspension - Had HKS coilovers on but sold them cause I needed cash running stock height untill I get some cash, them some Eibach springs and Koni dampers. Strut bars are getting made for the car because there are none about. Front and rear upper and lower. Trying to source anti-roll bars from an ATR for the car.

The engine bay looks like the US Accord from 90-93 in terms of component positioning to give an idea untill pics come.

A 5th gen Civic with a 4th gen Accord front end. Cool. Just kidding, pretty smooth. Can you send me a big barrel of that gas? Wish I had some.

The fuels actual octane is 98.1. It's called Shell Optimax.

We have fuels of 95, 97 and the 98.1 in the U.K. I have ran above 100 octane before with addatives.

Anybody seen my wheels on another Accord before?, cause I think I have the only set in the UK!!

If I could send you the barrell I would

To fill a 50 gallon Barrell would cost £179.33 ($278.53). Optimax costs 78.9p ($1.21) per litre over here. It will cost a fortune.

Don't know if your motors are set to run that sort of octane

For 93 Octane **** water (compared to your gas), we have to pay $1.45 a gallon.

They are not the same as the US Civic but are quite similar in shape just different size.

It must be pretty slow. However, how the hell does it put out 131lb ft of torque?

Rev-limiter - 7210rpm

never ever heard of that before... very cool. If an H22 dropped in there... well then you'd be the ******* King of England.

Any idea what the curb weight is?

Multi-link mcpherson strut
like the new RSX set up?

edit: I hear the word McPherson and I automatically think RSX.

0-60 - 10.5secs
max speed- 121mph.
ouch
