Default getting the yellow out of head lights

my ef9 head lights are stained yellow.. I guess with age... it seems like it is only on the outside, and clean within... any tips on how to get it back to stock shape... and dont say buy new ones...

buy new ones

but really i think if you stopped by autozone or someplace they should have just the stuff your looking for.

try using nail polish with acetone...should do the trick.

theres a couple of ways depending on how yellow they are.

1. try mother's clear plastic polish, its a two part system. one is cleaning the other one is polishing. You can get it from any auto paint store.

2. try some fine wet sanding and maybe clear coat it.

dude, i WANT yellow headlights... but that's just me..


like really bright yellow, like super-ALMS series yellow... like the vipers and vettes have.. but no one makes super-yellow high beam bulbs...

I'd just sand them down with 2000 grit and then get some rubbing compound and buff the shine back. But that's just me.

I'd try the nail polish remover first. It can't hurt.
